4.2 Mounting the Antenna
The antenna is designed for outdoor installation, typically on a roof or a high pole, to achieve optimal signal reception. Ensure the mounting location is clear of obstructions.
- Select Mounting Location: Choose a high position, such as a rooftop or a tall pole, to minimize signal interference from buildings or terrain.
- Attach to J-Pole Mount (Optional): If using a J-pole mount, secure the antenna to the mount using the provided hardware.
- Secure Mounting Pole: Fix the antenna's mounting pole to a stable support base. Ensure it is vertical and securely fastened to withstand wind and other environmental factors.
- Antenna Dimensional Drawing: Refer to the dimensional drawing for precise measurements during installation planning.

4.3 Connecting the Antenna
- Connect Coaxial Cable: Attach one end of the 13-meter coaxial cable to the antenna's output port.
- Route Cable: Carefully route the coaxial cable from the antenna to your television(s), ensuring it is protected from damage and weather elements.
- Connect to Power Supply: Connect the other end of the coaxial cable to the input of the power supply unit.
- Connect to TV: Connect the output of the power supply unit to the antenna input (ANT/IN) on your television.
- Power On: Plug the power supply unit into a standard AC 110V / 60Hz electrical outlet.
5. Operating
5.1 Remote Control Operation
The antenna features a 3600 motorized rotation system, allowing you to adjust its direction for optimal signal reception using the wireless remote control.
- Insert Batteries: Ensure 2 AAA batteries (not included) are correctly inserted into the remote control.
- Rotate Antenna: Use the directional buttons on the remote control to rotate the antenna. The antenna rotates at a speed of 2-4 rounds per minute.
- Optimize Signal: While rotating, monitor your TV's signal strength meter (if available) to find the best reception for desired channels.
5.2 Dual TV Output
The TA-851 Plus antenna is equipped with dual output ports, allowing you to connect and power two televisions simultaneously without the need for an external splitter or special adapter.
- Connect the second TV to the additional output port on the power supply unit.
5.3 Signal Reception
The built-in high gain booster and low noise amplifier enable the antenna to receive digital HDTV UHF/VHF signals within a 150-mile range, providing up to 1080P HD picture quality.
