3. Setup
3.1 Powering the Instrument
The CT-S1 can be powered in two ways:
- AC Adapter: Connect the included AC adapter to the DC 9.5V jack on the rear panel and plug it into a standard wall outlet.
- Batteries: For portable use, insert six (6) AA-size alkaline batteries into the battery compartment on the underside of the keyboard. Ensure correct polarity.
3.2 Attaching the Music Rest
The included music rest can be inserted into the slot on the top panel of the keyboard to hold sheet music or a tablet.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
To turn on the CT-S1, press and hold the [POWER] button until the display illuminates. To turn off, press and hold the [POWER] button again until the display turns off.
4.2 Adjusting Volume
Use the [VOLUME] knob to adjust the overall output level of the keyboard. Turn clockwise to increase volume, counter-clockwise to decrease.
4.3 Selecting Tones
The CT-S1 features 61 high-quality AiX Tones. Use the [TONE] button and the data entry dial to browse and select different instrument sounds, such as Stereo Grand Piano, Electric Pianos, Organs, and Synths. You can also access Casio Classic Tones.
4.4 Applying Effects
Enhance your sound with built-in effects:
- Reverb: Choose from 24 types to add spaciousness to your sound.
- Chorus & Delay: Apply these effects to add depth and movement.

4.5 Tone Layering

5. Connectivity
The CT-S1 offers various connectivity options:

- Headphones Jack: A 3.5mm stereo mini jack allows for private practice.
