Setup Instructions
- Unpack: Carefully remove the mattress pad from its packaging.
- Placement: Lay the heated mattress pad flat on your mattress, ensuring the connection point for the controller is positioned at the foot of the bed.
- Secure Fit: Stretch the elastic deep pocket skirt over the corners of your mattress. The elastic is designed to fit mattresses up to 17 inches thick, providing a snug and secure fit.
- Connect Controller: Plug the controller cord(s) into the connection point(s) on the mattress pad. Ensure a firm connection.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord(s) from the controller(s) into a standard 120V/60Hz electrical outlet. The controller cord is 11ft long, and the power cord is 6ft long, offering flexibility in placement.
- Important Safety Note: DO NOT LEAVE THE CONTROLLER COVERED WHEN IN USE TO AVOID OVERHEATING.

Using the Controller
The controller allows you to adjust heat settings and set a timer for automatic shut-off.

- Power On/Off: Press the 'ON/OFF' button to turn the mattress pad on or off.
- Adjust Heat Settings: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to select your desired heat level from 1 to 10. The current heat setting will be displayed on the LCD screen.
- Set Timer: Press the 'TIMER/HEAT' button to cycle through the timer options. You can set the auto shut-off timer from 1 to 12 hours in 1-hour increments. The timer setting will be displayed.
- Dual Control (Queen and Larger Sizes): If you have a Queen or larger size, your mattress pad comes with two controllers. Each controller operates its respective side of the bed independently, allowing for personalized comfort for two users.
Pre-heating Your Bed
For optimal warmth, turn on the mattress pad approximately 30 minutes before you plan to get into bed. This allows the pad to reach your desired temperature, ensuring a cozy experience.
Maintenance and Care
The Serta Waterproof Heated Mattress Pad is machine washable for easy care. Follow these instructions carefully to maintain product quality and safety.

- Disconnect Power: Always unplug the power connection from the wall outlet and detach the controller(s) from the mattress pad before washing.
- Washing: Machine wash on a delicate cycle with cold water and minimal detergent. Do not use bleach.
- Rinsing: Rinse thoroughly in cold water.
- Spin Cycle: Remove the mattress pad immediately after the spin cycle to prevent creasing.
- Drying: Tumble dry on low or medium heat for 5 minutes. Then, remove damp bedding, gently stretch and hang to finish drying. Do not use clothespins, as they can damage the wires.
- Do Not Iron: Ironing is not recommended.
- Storage: Periodically check and straighten any bent or twisted wires to preserve shape and functionality. When storing, do not compress it or put anything on top of it, as this can cause damage to the wires.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Q: Why is my light blinking?
- A: Unplug and reconnect the controller to try again. Make sure the controller is connected correctly. If it still doesn't work, please contact customer support.
- Q: My controller feels warm to the touch. Is this a problem?
- A: The control will feel warm (not hot) to the touch when functioning properly. Even when the controller is off, small amounts of electricity will cycle through it, which may make the controller warm.
- Q: Is there a special way I should store this at the end of the season?
- A: To prolong the life of your electric blanket, we recommend rolling the mattress rather than folding it. When storing it, do not compress it or put anything on top of it. Doing so can cause damage to the wires which could affect functionality.
- Q: I heard a pop and/or smell smoke. Is my blanket going to catch on fire?
- A: This is not a dangerous situation, but it can/will affect the functionality of the product. This most likely means that the fuse in the controller has blown for safety reasons and the product has been disabled. Please contact customer support.
- Q: Can I plug it into a power strip, extension cord or splitter?
- A: We do not recommend using a power strip, extension cord, or splitter.
