1. Safety Precautions

3. Setup

3.1 Hot Air Gun Holder Installation

  1. Remove the screws from the main unit.
  2. Align the holder with the main unit.
  3. Tighten the screws to secure the holder.
  4. Place the air gun in the holder and connect the cable.

3.2 Soldering Iron Stand (X-2 Holder) Assembly

  1. Slide the solder reel holder into the stand.
  2. Insert the reel shaft.
  3. Wet the sponge with water.
  4. Connect the soldering iron.

3.3 Hot Air Nozzle Attachment

  1. Insert the screw into the nozzle.
  2. Tighten the nut.
  3. Insert the nozzle onto the air gun.
  4. Tighten the screw to secure the nozzle.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Soldering Iron Operation

The soldering iron features precise temperature control and a sleep mode for extended tip life.

  • Temperature Range: 200°C to 480°C.
  • Temperature Control: Utilizes PID temperature correction for stable and accurate temperature at the tip.
  • Sleep Mode: When the soldering iron is not in use and its temperature is below 200°C, sleep mode activates. This helps to preserve the tip and heater. The sleep mode timer can be set to 0 or 10 minutes. Setting it to 0 minutes disables the sleep mode.

4.2 Hot Air Gun Operation

The hot air gun provides controlled heat for various rework tasks.

  • Temperature Range: 100°C to 480°C.
  • Standby Mode: When the hot air gun is placed in its holder, it enters standby mode and cools down to 200°C. When picked up, it quickly heats back up to the set temperature, allowing for immediate use.

4.3 Adjustable Mode

If there is a discrepancy between the set temperature and the actual tip temperature due to environmental factors or tip changes, use the adjustable mode to calibrate the tip temperature to match the set temperature.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Soldering Iron Tip Maintenance

  • Regularly clean the soldering iron tip using the provided cleaning wire and wet sponge to remove excess solder and oxidation.
  • After cleaning, apply a small amount of fresh solder to the tip to prevent oxidation and ensure optimal performance.

5.2 Heater Core and Handle Replacement

The hot air gun handle and soldering iron handle are designed to be replaceable. When the heater core reaches the end of its lifespan, a message will be displayed on the screen. Simply replace the handle to quickly resume operation, minimizing downtime and cost.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Device not powering on: Check the power cable connection and ensure the power switch is in the 'ON' position. Verify the power outlet is functional.
  • Temperature not reaching set value or unstable: Ensure the heating element is properly installed. Use the adjustable mode to calibrate the tip temperature if necessary.
