Setup & Installation
Follow these steps carefully for proper installation. It is recommended to have two people for certain steps, especially when handling the door slab.
1. Prepare the Door Panel
The door slab requires a groove to be made at the bottom for the floor guide. The hole depth should be 1 inch, and the width 1/4 inch. Use appropriate tools for this task.

2. Install Door Hangers
Attach the hangers to the top edge of the door panel. Pre-drilling with a thin drill bit, followed by a larger diameter bit, is recommended to ensure proper fit and adjustability of the bolts. Ensure the hangers are securely fastened.

3. Determine Track Height and Install Track
Measure the total height from the floor to the top of the door panel when the door is in its desired position, adding 1.7 inches to this measurement to determine the correct height for the track. If the floor is uneven, use the highest point as the zero level to prevent the door from jamming. Install a wooden plank (not included) above the door opening to secure the track if your wall studs do not align with the track's pre-drilled holes. Securely fasten the black steel rail track to the wall or the wooden plank.

4. Mount the Door and Install Floor Guide
Carefully lift the door and hang the rollers onto the installed track. Once the door is hanging, measure the required distance from the wall to the door panel and mark the positions for the floor guide on the floor. Remove the door, drill holes, insert wall plugs, and secure the floor guide to the floor. Re-hang the door.
5. Install Door Stops and Anti-Jump Pins
Install the door stops at the desired open and closed positions on the track to prevent the door from sliding too far. Install the anti-jump pins on top of the door panel to prevent the door from lifting off the track.
6. Install Handles
Mark the desired height for the handle on the door panel. Drill holes and securely attach the handle and its corresponding part to the door.
Operation
To open or close the VDOMDOORS Sete 6003 barn door, gently slide the door along the track using the installed handle. The door should move smoothly and quietly. Avoid forcing the door or allowing it to slam against the door stops.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and smooth operation of your barn door.
- Cleaning: Wipe the door slab and hardware with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish or frosted glass.
- Hardware Check: Periodically inspect all screws and bolts for tightness. Tighten any loose fasteners to prevent wobbling or misalignment.
- Track and Rollers: Keep the track free of dust and debris. Lubricate the rollers and track with a silicone-based lubricant if you notice any squeaking or resistance during operation.
- Glass Care: Clean the frosted glass with a glass cleaner and a soft cloth.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your barn door, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Door is difficult to slide | Dirty track, worn rollers, misaligned track, loose hardware. | Clean the track, lubricate rollers, check track alignment, tighten hardware. |
| Door makes squeaking noises | Lack of lubrication on rollers or track. | Apply silicone-based lubricant to rollers and track. |
| Door wobbles or feels unstable | Loose mounting screws, improper installation of anti-jump pins or floor guide. | Tighten all mounting screws, ensure anti-jump pins are correctly installed, verify floor guide is secure. |
| Door jams against the floor | Uneven floor, incorrect track height. | Re-evaluate track height based on the highest point of the floor. Adjust track if possible. |
