Setup

1. Powering the Gamepad

The EasySMX KC-8236 gamepad requires two AAA batteries (not included). Open the battery compartment on the back of the controller and insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity.

2. Connecting the USB Receiver

Insert the provided USB receiver into an available USB 2.0 or 3.0 port on your PC, PS3, or TV Box. For Android devices, an OTG cable (not included) may be required to connect the USB receiver.

3. Pairing the Gamepad

Once the USB receiver is connected and the gamepad has batteries, press the Home button on the gamepad. The gamepad should automatically connect to the receiver. The LED indicators around the Home button will show the connection status.

  • PC Mode: Typically, the gamepad will connect in PC mode automatically.
  • PS3 Mode: The gamepad will automatically detect and connect to a PS3 console.
  • Android Mode: For Android devices, ensure OTG is enabled if required by your device.

The 2.4GHz wireless technology provides a stable connection up to 10 meters (32.8 feet).

Operating Instructions

Basic Controls

Refer to the "Controller Layout" section for button identification.

  • Left/Right Joysticks: Used for movement and camera control.
  • D-pad: Directional input for menu navigation or specific game actions.
  • A/B/X/Y Buttons: Action buttons for in-game commands.
  • LB/RB (Shoulder Buttons): Often used for quick actions or weapon selection.
  • LT/RT (Triggers): Analog input, commonly used for acceleration, braking, or shooting.
  • Start Button: Typically used to pause games or open in-game menus.
  • Back Button: Often used for map, inventory, or secondary menu access.
  • Home Button: Powers on/off the controller and accesses system menus (e.g., PS3 XMB).

Dual Vibration Function

The gamepad features asymmetric vibration motors that provide realistic feedback during gameplay. Experience subtle strong and weak vibrations for in-game events like explosions, impacts, and other actions, enhancing immersion.

Turbo Function Setup

The Turbo function allows a button to perform continuous rapid presses when held down.

  1. To Activate Turbo: Press and hold the action button you wish to assign the Turbo function to, then press the Turbo button. The Turbo LED indicator will flash, confirming the function is set.
  2. To Deactivate Turbo: Press the action button with the Turbo function assigned again, simultaneously with the Turbo button. This will disable the continuous firing function for that button.

Maintenance

  • Keep the gamepad clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Store the gamepad in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • If not using the gamepad for an extended period, remove the AAA batteries to prevent leakage.
  • Avoid dropping or subjecting the gamepad to strong impacts, as this can damage internal components.

Troubleshooting

Gamepad Not Connecting

  • Ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged into a working USB port.
  • Check if the batteries in the gamepad are inserted correctly and have sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
  • Press the Home button on the gamepad to initiate pairing.
  • Try plugging the USB receiver into a different USB port on your device.
  • For Android devices, confirm that an OTG cable is used if required and that OTG functionality is enabled in your device settings.
  • Ensure your system (Windows, PS3, Android) is compatible with the gamepad. (Not compatible with Xbox 360/Xbox One/Mac/iOS).

Input Lag or Disconnections

  • Ensure the gamepad is within the 10-meter wireless range of the USB receiver.
  • Minimize obstacles between the gamepad and the receiver.
  • Avoid strong electromagnetic interference from other wireless devices.
  • Check battery levels and replace if low.

Vibration Not Working

  • Verify that the game you are playing supports vibration feedback.
  • Check in-game settings to ensure vibration is enabled.
  • Ensure batteries have sufficient power.
