Setup Guide
1. Unboxing and Initial Placement
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure you have the Kasa Pan/Tilt 2K Camera, power adapter, 10 ft USB cable, quick start guide, mounting screws, and mounting template. Place the camera in your desired location, ensuring it is within Wi-Fi range and has access to a power outlet.
2. Powering On
Connect the provided USB cable to the camera and the power adapter. Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The camera's LED indicator will begin to flash, indicating it is ready for setup.
3. Installing the Kasa Smart App
Download the Kasa Smart app from the Apple App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play Store (for Android devices). Search for "Kasa Smart" and install the application.

4. Connecting to Wi-Fi
- Open the Kasa Smart app and create a new account or log in to an existing one.
- Tap the "+" icon in the top right corner to add a new device.
- Select "Cameras" and then choose "Kasa Spot Pan Tilt (KC410S)".
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your camera to your home Wi-Fi network. Ensure your smartphone is connected to the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band during setup.
5. MicroSD Card Installation (Optional)
For local storage, insert a MicroSD card (up to 256 GB, not included) into the camera's MicroSD card slot. The slot is typically located by tilting the camera lens upwards in the app to reveal it. Ensure the card is inserted correctly until it clicks into place.
Operating Instructions
Live View and Pan/Tilt Control
Once connected, open the Kasa Smart app and select your camera to view the live feed. You can swipe up, down, left, and right on your phone screen to remotely control the camera's pan and tilt movements, allowing you to monitor different areas.

Two-Way Audio
Tap the microphone icon in the live view interface to enable two-way audio. This allows you to speak through the camera's speaker and hear audio from the camera's surroundings.

Motion, Person, and Sound Detection
Configure detection settings within the Kasa Smart app. You can enable motion, person, and sound detection to receive instant alerts on your smartphone when activity is detected. Customize activity zones to focus on specific areas of interest.

Night Vision
The camera automatically switches to night vision in low-light conditions. The starlight sensor enables color night vision, providing clearer and more detailed images than traditional black and white night vision.

Recording and Playback
Recordings are stored on the inserted MicroSD card or in the optional cloud storage. Access recorded footage through the Kasa Smart app's playback feature. The camera will overwrite the oldest files when the MicroSD card memory is full.

- Restart the camera by unplugging it for 10 seconds and plugging it back in.
- Ensure your Wi-Fi password has not changed. If it has, you may need to reconfigure the camera's Wi-Fi settings in the Kasa Smart app.
- Poor Video Quality:
- Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from dust or smudges.
- Check your internet connection speed. A stable and fast connection is required for optimal 2K QHD streaming.
- Adjust the video quality settings within the Kasa Smart app if necessary.
- Motion/Sound Detection Not Working:
- Verify that motion and sound detection are enabled in the Kasa Smart app settings for your camera.
- Check the sensitivity settings and adjust them as needed.
- Ensure activity zones are correctly configured and not excluding areas where detection is desired.
- MicroSD Card Not Recording:
- Ensure the MicroSD card is properly inserted into the slot.
- Check if the MicroSD card is full. The camera will overwrite old files, but ensure it's not corrupted.
- Format the MicroSD card through the Kasa Smart app settings.
