4. Setup Instructions

1. Connect the Charger: Plug the Micro USB cable into the charger's input port and connect the other end to a USB power source (e.g., laptop, USB wall adapter, car charger). The LED screen will light up green when powered on.
2. Insert Batteries: Insert 1 to 4 rechargeable Ni-MH or Ni-CD batteries (AA, AAA, C, or D size) into the charging slots. Ensure correct polarity (+ and - ends) as indicated on the charger and batteries.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Charging Process

1. Once batteries are correctly inserted and the charger is powered, the LED indicator above each battery slot will illuminate.
2. A red light indicates that the battery is currently charging.
3. A green light indicates that the battery is fully charged. The charger will automatically stop charging to prevent overcharge.
4. If a battery is damaged or incorrectly inserted, the LED light may flash, indicating an error.

5.2 Fast Charge Mode

• The charger offers a Fast Charge mode for quicker charging of C and D batteries.
• To activate Fast Charge, press and hold the 'FAST' button on the charger. The fast charge indicator light will illuminate. In this mode, slots 1 and 2 will charge at 1.8A. Slots 3 and 4 will not charge.
• To return to Normal Charge mode (1A for all slots), press the 'FAST' button again. The fast charge indicator light will turn off.

6. Maintenance

• Keep the charger and batteries clean and dry. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, high temperatures, and high humidity.

7. Troubleshooting

• Battery Not Charging (Red Light Not On):
  - Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the charger and the power source.
  - Verify that the batteries are inserted with correct polarity (+ and -).
  - Check if the battery is damaged (flashing LED). If so, replace the battery.
• LED Light Flashing:
  - A flashing red or green light indicates a damaged or non-rechargeable battery. Remove the battery and replace it with a functional rechargeable battery.
• Slow Charging:
  - Ensure the charger is not in Fast Charge mode if you intend to charge all four slots simultaneously (Fast Charge only uses slots 1 and 2).
  - Use a power adapter with sufficient output (e.g., 5V/2A or higher) for optimal charging speed.
