2. Important Safety Information

Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, injury to persons, or exposure to excessive microwave energy.

  • Do not attempt to operate this oven with the door open as this can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy.
  • Do not place any object between the oven front face and the door or allow soil or cleaner residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces.
  • Do not operate the oven if it is damaged. It is particularly important that the oven door closes properly and that there is no damage to the: (1) door (bent), (2) hinges and latches (broken or loosened), (3) door seals and sealing surfaces.
  • The oven should not be adjusted or repaired by anyone except properly qualified service personnel.
  • Ensure the appliance is properly grounded.
  • Keep children away from the appliance during operation. 5. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the microwave oven and all packing materials from the carton.
  2. Placement: Place the oven on a flat, stable surface that can withstand the weight of the oven and the heaviest food likely to be cooked in it. Ensure there is adequate ventilation space around the oven (at least 20cm above, 10cm at the back, and 5cm on each side).
  3. Turntable Installation: Place the turntable ring in the center of the oven cavity. Place the glass turntable on top of the turntable ring, ensuring it sits securely on the center hub.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage matches the specifications of the microwave oven.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Setting the Clock

  1. Press the "Clock" button.
  2. Use the dial or number pad to set the current hour.
  3. Press the "Clock" button again.
  4. Use the dial or number pad to set the current minutes.
  5. Press the "Clock" button to confirm.

6.2. Microwave Cooking

  1. Place food in a microwave-safe container on the glass turntable.
  2. Close the door securely.
  3. Select the desired power level (e.g., 800W for heating, 1000W for cooking). The Kenwood MWM25.000BK offers 5 power levels.
  4. Set the cooking time using the dial or number pad (up to 95 minutes).
  5. Press the "Start" button. The oven will begin cooking and the timer will count down.

6.3. Defrost Function

The defrost function allows you to defrost food based on weight or time.

  1. Press the "Defrost" button.
  2. Select defrost by weight or time using the corresponding options.
  3. Adjust the weight or time as needed.
  4. Press the "Start" button.

6.4. Automatic Programs

The Kenwood MWM25.000BK features 8 automatic menus for common dishes. Refer to the internal label or a quick guide for specific program details.

  1. Press the "Auto Menu" button.
  2. Rotate the dial to select the desired automatic program.
  3. Press the "Start" button.

6.5. Quick Start Function

For quick heating, press the "Quick Start" button to immediately start cooking at full power for a preset duration (e.g., 30 seconds per press).

6.6. Child Lock Function

To activate the child lock, press and hold the "Stop/Cancel" button for 3 seconds. The display will show a lock indicator. To deactivate, press and hold the "Stop/Cancel" button again for 3 seconds.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Cleaning the Oven

  • Always unplug the oven from the power outlet before cleaning.
  • Clean the inside of the oven regularly with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
  • The glass turntable and turntable ring can be removed and washed in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher.
  • Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.

7.2. Care of the Door and Oven Seals

Regularly wipe the door seals and adjacent parts with a damp cloth to remove any spills or splatters. This ensures a proper seal and efficient operation.
