Setup and Initial Use
- Wash Components: Hand wash the pitcher body, lid, and filter reservoir with a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly with water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or place in a dishwasher.
- Prepare Filter Cartridge: Remove the filter cartridge from its packaging. Submerge the filter fully in cold tap water for 10 minutes to soak it. This removes air bubbles and activates the filter for optimal performance.
- Install Filter: Insert the prepared filter cartridge into the filter reservoir. Press firmly to ensure a tight seal. The O-ring on the filter cartridge prevents unfiltered water from bypassing the filter.
- Fill Pitcher: Place the lid on the pitcher. Fill the filter reservoir with cold tap water. The dust-proof flip lid allows for easy refilling directly from the tap.
- Discard Initial Water: Discard the first two pitchers of filtered water. This primes the filter and removes any loose carbon particles.
- Activate Filter Life Indicator: After installing a new filter, press and hold the smart life indicator button on the lid for 5 seconds until it flashes blue. This resets the filter life record.

Operating Instructions
Using your Waterdrop filter pitcher is straightforward:
- Fill: Open the dust-proof flip lid and fill the filter reservoir with cold tap water. The 360° all-direction water inlet allows for quick filling.
- Filter: Allow the water to pass through the filter cartridge into the main pitcher body. The fast flow rate of up to 0.5 gallons per minute (gpm) ensures quick filtration.
- Pour: Once filtered, pour the clean water from the pitcher. The specially designed handle provides a strong, comfortable grip.

- Filter Handling: Always handle the filter cartridge with clean hands.
- Storage: If storing the pitcher for an extended period, ensure all components are clean and dry. Store new, unused filters in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
