4. Setup
Before using your iron for the first time, please follow these steps:
- Unpack the Iron: Carefully remove the iron from its packaging. Remove any labels or protective films from the soleplate.
- First Use Preparation: It is normal for a slight odor or small amount of smoke to be produced during the first few uses. This will disappear quickly.
- Filling the Water Tank:
- Ensure the iron is unplugged.
- Hold the iron in a vertical position.
- Open the water filling inlet cover.
- Fill the water tank with clean tap water up to the 'MAX' level indicator. Do not overfill.
- Close the water filling inlet cover securely.
Note: While tap water is generally suitable, if your water is very hard, it is recommended to mix 50% tap water with 50% distilled water to prolong the life of your iron. Do not use 100% distilled water, scented water, or water from tumble dryers, as these can damage the iron.

- Power On: Plug the iron into a suitable electrical outlet. The indicator light will illuminate, indicating the iron is heating up.
- Smart Temp Technology: The iron automatically adjusts the soleplate temperature and steam output to suit all ironable fabrics. You do not need to manually select a temperature setting.

- Hold the iron vertically, a few centimeters away from the fabric.
- Press the steam boost button repeatedly while moving the iron up and down the garment.
- Dry Ironing: If you wish to iron without steam, ensure the water tank is empty or set the steam control to the 'Dry' position.

- Automatic Shut-off: The iron will automatically turn off if left motionless for a period of time. To restart, simply move the iron.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your iron.
- After Each Use:
- Unplug the iron and allow it to cool down completely.
- Empty any remaining water from the tank.
- Cleaning the Soleplate:
- Once the soleplate is cool, wipe it with a damp cloth or a non-abrasive sponge.
- For stubborn marks, use a specialized soleplate cleaning stick (available separately) following its instructions.
- Do not use abrasive scouring pads, metal objects, or harsh chemical cleaners, as these can damage the Durilium AirGlide coating.
- Cleaning the Iron Body: Wipe the plastic parts of the iron with a soft, damp cloth.
- Descaling (Anti-Calc System): While the iron has an anti-drip system, regular descaling is important, especially in hard water areas. Refer to the full product manual for specific descaling instructions, if an integrated anti-calc system is present. Generally, this involves flushing the steam chamber with water.
- Storage: Store the cooled iron in an upright position to prevent soleplate damage. Ensure the cord is neatly wrapped.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your iron, refer to the table below for common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |

| Water leaking from soleplate. | Ironing at too low a temperature; water tank overfilled; anti-drip system not functioning correctly. | Allow iron to heat up fully; do not overfill; if problem persists, contact support. |
| White flakes coming from soleplate. | Mineral deposits from hard water. | Perform descaling procedure (refer to full manual for details). Use a mix of tap and distilled water. |
