Setup and Installation

1. Battery Installation

The LMG-10 requires 2 AAA batteries for operation. Locate the battery compartment on the rear of the device. Open the compartment cover, insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators, and securely close the cover.

2. Identifying Components

Familiarize yourself with the various parts of the LMG-10:

  • LCD Screen: Displays pressure, temperature, refrigerant type, and other data.
  • Temperature Probe Port: Connect temperature clamps here.
  • Hook: For hanging the manifold during use.
  • Battery Compartment: Houses the AAA batteries.
  • Control Buttons: For navigation, mode selection, and zeroing.
  • Sight Glass: Allows visual inspection of refrigerant flow.
  • Control Valves: Regulate refrigerant flow.

3. Connecting Temperature Clamps

Connect the two temperature clamps to the designated ports on the LMG-10. These clamps are essential for accurate superheating and subcooling calculations.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

Press and hold the Power button (Power button icon) to turn the device on or off.

2. Selecting Refrigerant Type

The LMG-10 supports 88 types of refrigerants. Use the MODE button to cycle through the available refrigerant types until the desired one is displayed on the LCD screen.

3. Pressure and Temperature Measurement

Once connected to the HVAC/R system, the LMG-10 will display real-time pressure and temperature readings on its large LCD screen. The digital display provides greater accuracy compared to traditional analog gauges.

4. Superheating and Subcooling Calculation

The LMG-10 automatically calculates superheating and subcooling values in real-time, eliminating the need for manual calculations. Ensure temperature clamps are properly attached to the suction and liquid lines for accurate readings.

5. Pressure Leak Testing

The device can perform pressure leak tests to detect system leaks. Refer to the on-screen prompts and the specific test procedure for your application.

6. Temperature Compensation

The LMG-10 features temperature compensation to correct for environmental variations, ensuring more accurate tightness testing results.

7. Zeroing the Manifold

Before each measurement, it is recommended to zero the manifold to ensure the highest accuracy. Press the ZERO button to calibrate the device.

8. App Connectivity (Elitech Tools)

The Elitech LMG-10 can connect to the Elitech Tools mobile application, allowing for real-time data viewing, recording, and report generation. Download the app from your device's app store and follow the in-app instructions for pairing.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the device is dry before storage.

2. Battery Replacement

When the battery indicator shows low power, replace the AAA batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation and accurate readings.

3. Storage

Store the LMG-10 in its provided carrying case in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. This protects the device from physical damage and environmental factors.
