  2. Adjust Suction Power: Use the rotary control or slide switch (if present) on the main unit or hose handle to adjust the suction power according to the surface being cleaned. 5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your vacuum cleaner.

5.1 Replacing the Dust Bag

  1. Unplug the vacuum cleaner from the power supply.
  2. Open the dust bag compartment cover.
  3. Carefully remove the full dust bag from its holder. Most bags have a self-closing mechanism to prevent dust leakage.
  4. Insert a new, genuine Bosch dust bag into the holder, ensuring it is correctly seated and sealed.
  5. Close the dust bag compartment cover until it clicks shut.

5.2 Cleaning the HEPA Filter

The HEPA filter should be checked regularly and replaced when heavily soiled, typically every 6-12 months depending on usage.

  1. Unplug the vacuum cleaner.
  2. Locate the HEPA filter compartment, usually at the rear or side of the appliance.
  3. Remove the filter. Some HEPA filters are washable; if yours is, rinse it under cold running water without detergents and allow it to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting. If it's not washable, replace it with a new one.
  4. Reinsert the clean or new HEPA filter and close the compartment cover.

5.3 Cleaning the Nozzle and Accessories

Periodically check the floor nozzle and other accessories for blockages (e.g., hair, threads). Remove any obstructions to maintain effective suction.
