4. Setup

Before operating the impact wrench, ensure proper setup for safe and efficient use.

4.1 Air Supply Connection

1. Ensure your air compressor is capable of providing the required air pressure and volume (see Specifications).
2. Install a 1/4" NPT hose fitting (included) onto the air inlet of the impact wrench. Use thread sealant tape for a secure, leak-free connection.
3. Connect a suitable air hose to the fitting. Ensure the hose is rated for the operating pressure and is free from damage.
4. Connect the other end of the air hose to your air compressor's regulated output.
5. Set the air compressor regulator to the recommended usable air pressure of 0.62 MPa (approximately 90 PSI). Do not exceed this pressure.

4.2 Lubrication

Air tools require regular lubrication to maintain performance and extend lifespan. Add a few drops of pneumatic tool oil into the air inlet before each use, or use an in-line oiler.

4.3 Socket Installation

Select the appropriate 0.4 inch (9.5 mm) square drive impact socket for your application. Push the socket firmly onto the square drive anvil until it locks into place. Ensure the socket is securely attached before operation.

5. Operation

Follow these steps for safe and effective operation of your VESSEL SP-1135B Air Impact Wrench.

5.1 Starting the Tool

With the air supply connected and regulated, press the trigger to start the tool. The stepless throttle allows you to control the rotational speed by varying the pressure on the trigger.

5.2 Forward/Reverse Rotation

The tool features a push-button switch for changing the direction of rotation. This switch is conveniently located for one-handed operation. Press the button to toggle between forward (tightening) and reverse (loosening) modes.

5.3 Tightening and Loosening Bolts

1. Ensure the correct socket is securely attached to the anvil.
2. Place the socket squarely onto the fastener.
3. For tightening, select the forward rotation. For loosening, select reverse rotation.
4. Press the trigger gradually to start the tool. Apply steady pressure to the tool to keep the socket engaged with the fastener.
5. Release the trigger to stop the tool.

The tightening torque range for this tool is 7 - 90 Nm. For critical applications requiring precise torque, always use a calibrated torque wrench for final tightening.
