6. Operating Instructions: Jump Starting a Vehicle
Follow these steps carefully to safely jump-start your vehicle:
- Prepare the Jump Starter: Ensure the jump starter is at least 50% charged. Turn on the jump starter using the ON/OFF switch.
- Connect Clamps to Jump Starter: Insert the blue plug of the smart jumper clamps into the jump port on the jump starter. Ensure a firm connection.
- Connect Clamps to Car Battery:
- Connect the RED positive (+) clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the car battery.
- Connect the BLACK negative (-) clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the car battery.
The smart clamps have built-in protection against incorrect connections.
- Start the Vehicle: Once the clamps are correctly connected, start your vehicle's engine. If the vehicle does not start on the first attempt, wait at least 30 seconds before trying again. Do not crank the engine for more than 3 seconds per attempt.
- Remove Clamps: Once the vehicle starts, immediately remove the BLACK negative (-) clamp from the car battery, followed by the RED positive (+) clamp. Then, disconnect the smart jumper clamps from the jump starter.
