Introduction
Thank you for choosing the VINGLI Solar Pool Heater. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient installation, operation, and maintenance of your solar pool heating system. Please read these instructions thoroughly before use and retain them for future reference.
Important Safety Information
To ensure safe operation and prevent injury or damage, please observe the following precautions:
- Always disconnect the pool pump from the power supply before performing any installation or maintenance.
- Ensure all connections are secure and watertight to prevent leaks. Use the provided hose clamps and Teflon tape as instructed.
- Do not exceed a water pump pressure of 0.8 bar (approximately 11.6 PSI) or an air pressure of 35 PSI when operating or testing the unit. Excessive pressure can damage the heater.
- Position the solar heater on a stable, level surface where it receives maximum direct sunlight.
- Keep children and pets away from the solar heater during operation and installation.
- Do not attempt to modify the product. Use only original replacement parts if necessary.
- In freezing conditions, drain the solar heater completely to prevent ice damage.

Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to install your VINGLI Solar Pool Heater:
- Choose a Location: Select a sunny spot near your pool, ideally where the heater will receive direct sunlight for the longest duration. The unit features foldable legs for optimal angling towards the sun.
- Connect to Pool System: The solar heater should be installed after your pool pump and filter, but before the water returns to the pool. Water flows from the filter, through the solar heater, and then back to the pool.
- Attach Hoses: Use the provided connection hoses and rotatable connectors to link the solar heater to your pool's filtration system. Ensure the rubber seals are properly seated before attaching hoses.
- Secure Connections: Apply Teflon plumbing tape to threaded connections and use the hose clamps to secure the hoses firmly to the connectors. Tighten clamps to prevent leaks, but do not overtighten.
- Multiple Units (Optional): For larger pools or faster heating, multiple VINGLI solar heaters can be linked together in series. Ensure your pump can handle the additional flow resistance.

Operating Instructions
Once installed, operating your solar pool heater is straightforward:
- Start the Pool Pump: Turn on your pool pump. Water will begin to circulate from the pool, through the filter, into the solar heater, and then back into the pool.
- Maximize Heating: For optimal heating, ensure the protective dome cover is removed during sunny hours. The internal coil is designed to absorb solar energy efficiently.
- Monitor Water Temperature: The effectiveness of the heater depends on sunlight intensity and duration. You may notice a gradual increase in pool water temperature over several days.
- Flow Control (if applicable): Some systems may include a bypass valve to control water flow through the heater. Adjust this valve to optimize heating or bypass the heater if not needed.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures longevity and efficiency:
- Cleaning: Periodically wipe down the dome cover and the heater unit to remove dust, debris, or mineral buildup that could reduce solar absorption.
- Leak Checks: Regularly inspect all hose connections for signs of leaks. Tighten clamps or re-apply Teflon tape if necessary.
- Winterization: Before freezing temperatures arrive, completely drain the solar heater and disconnect it from the pool system. Store the unit in a dry, protected area to prevent freeze damage. The compact design and foldable legs make storage easy.
Troubleshooting
Refer to this section for common issues and their solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Pool water not heating sufficiently. | Insufficient sunlight; dome cover not removed; too few heaters for pool size; cold ambient temperatures. | Ensure heater is in direct sunlight; remove dome cover during heating hours; consider adding more units for larger pools; use a pool cover at night to retain heat. |
| Water leaks at connections. | Loose hose clamps; improperly seated rubber seals; insufficient Teflon tape; damaged hose. | Tighten hose clamps; ensure rubber seals are correctly placed; re-apply Teflon tape; replace damaged hoses if necessary. |
| Reduced water flow from pump. | Excessive back pressure from heater; clogged filter. | Ensure pump pressure does not exceed 0.8 bar; clean or backwash pool filter; check for kinks in hoses. |
