Regularly clean your PC case and motherboard to prevent dust buildup, which can lead to overheating. Use compressed air to remove dust from fans, heatsinks, and other components. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.

7.2. BIOS Updates

Periodically check the MSI website for BIOS/UEFI updates. BIOS updates can improve system stability, add support for new hardware, or fix bugs. Follow the instructions provided by MSI carefully when performing a BIOS update to avoid system damage.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Display: Ensure the monitor is connected to the correct port (on the graphics card or motherboard I/O if using integrated graphics). Check if the graphics card is properly seated and powered.
  • System Not Booting: Verify all power cables (24-pin ATX, 8-pin CPU) are securely connected. Reseat RAM modules. Check CPU installation.
  • Peripheral Not Detected: Ensure the device is properly connected. Try a different port. Install necessary drivers.
  • Overheating: Check CPU cooler installation and fan operation. Ensure proper case airflow. Clean dust from components.
  • BIOS Reset: If system becomes unstable after BIOS changes, clear the CMOS by temporarily removing the CMOS battery or using the designated jumper (refer to motherboard diagram for location).
