Maintenance
1. Battery Replacement
When the batteries are low, the safe will provide an alert via the app and/or an indicator light on the keypad. Replace all 4 AA batteries promptly.
- If batteries are completely depleted, you can use a 9V battery as an external power source by holding it to the contacts under the keypad, or use the mechanical key.
2. Cleaning
Clean the exterior of the safe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
Troubleshooting
- Safe not opening with keypad: Ensure batteries are not low. Re-enter the code carefully. If issues persist, try the mechanical key or unlock via the app.
- App connectivity issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and you are within range of the safe. Check if the Yale Access App is updated to the latest version.
- No power: Replace batteries. If the safe is completely unresponsive, use the mechanical key or the 9V battery backup.
