5. Setup

5.1 Initial Installation

1. Unpack all components from the packaging.
2. Locate a suitable wall socket, preferably in an area where ambient light is desired or motion detection is beneficial (e.g., hallway, bedroom).
3. Plug the induction charging station directly into the wall socket. Ensure it is securely seated.
4. Place the Northpoint LED Night Light onto the charging station. It will begin charging inductively.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Night Light Function (on Charging Station)

• When the night light is on the charging station, the integrated dusk sensor will activate the light automatically in low-light conditions.
• The motion sensor will also activate the light when movement is detected within its range.
• The light will automatically turn off after a period of no motion or when ambient light increases.

6.2 Detachable Flashlight Function

• To use as a flashlight, simply lift the night light from its charging station. The light will automatically turn on.
• A button on the bottom of the detachable light allows you to cycle through different light modes:
  • Bright Night Light: Standard illumination.
  • Dimmed Eco Mode: Lower brightness for extended battery life (up to 60 hours).
  • Automatic Color Change: Cycles through various colors.
  • Color Fixation: Stops the color change at the current color.
• To activate the dedicated flashlight LED on the underside, press and hold the button.
• To turn off the detachable light, simply place it back onto the charging station.

6.3 Emergency Light Function (Power Outage)

• If the power supply to the charging station is interrupted (e.g., during a power outage), the detachable night light will automatically illuminate, providing emergency lighting.
• This feature ensures visibility during unexpected power failures.

• Cleaning: Unplug the charging station from the wall. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the light and charging base. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the charging base in water.
• Battery Care: For optimal battery life, avoid completely draining the battery frequently. Keep the night light on the charging station when not in use to ensure it is always charged.
• Storage: If storing for an extended period, ensure the battery is fully charged and store in a cool, dry place.
