4. Operating Instructions

Once assembled, your Angel Juicer AG-5500 is ready for operation. Follow these guidelines for optimal juicing.

4.1 Preparing Produce

  • Wash all fruits and vegetables thoroughly.
  • Cut produce into manageable pieces that fit easily into the feeding chute. For fibrous vegetables like celery or leafy greens, cut into shorter lengths to prevent tangling.
  • Remove hard pits from fruits (e.g., peaches, plums) and large seeds.

4.2 Juicing Process

  1. Ensure the juicer is properly assembled and containers are in place.
  2. Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  3. Turn the main power switch on the back of the unit to the 'ON' position.
  4. Use the control panel buttons (POWER) to start the juicer.
  5. Slowly feed prepared produce into the feeding chute. Use the tamper only if necessary to gently guide produce down. Do not force produce into the chute, as this can cause jamming.
  6. Observe the juice flowing into the juice container and pulp expelling into the pulp container.
  7. Once juicing is complete, press the 'STOP' button on the control panel and turn off the main power switch. Unplug the unit.

4.3 Manual Reverse System

The AG-5500 features a manual reverse system. If ingredients become jammed or overloaded, press the 'REV' button on the control panel. This will temporarily reverse the rotation of the twin gears to help dislodge the blockage. Release the button to stop the reverse action, then press 'POWER' to resume normal juicing. If the jam persists, turn off and unplug the unit, then disassemble and clear the blockage manually.

4.4 Versatility

The Angel Juicer AG-5500 is suitable for a wide range of produce, including leafy greens, carrots, beets, ginger, lemons, apples, and various other fruits and vegetables. With additional accessories (sold separately), the juicer can also prepare nut butters, tofu, and milk from seeds, almonds, and soybeans.

5. Disassembly

For cleaning and storage, disassemble the juicer by reversing the assembly steps:

  1. Ensure the juicer is turned off and unplugged.
  2. Remove the juice and pulp containers.
  3. Detach the feeding chute assembly.
  4. Carefully remove the twin gears from the screen housing.
  5. Unlock and remove the screen housing from the motor base.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular and thorough cleaning is crucial for maintaining the performance and longevity of your Angel Juicer. Clean all removable parts immediately after each use.

6.1 Cleaning Instructions

  • Unplug the Juicer: Always ensure the juicer is unplugged before cleaning.
  • Rinse Immediately: Rinse all disassembled parts (twin gears, screen housing, feeding chute, containers) under warm running water to prevent pulp from drying and sticking.
  • Use Cleaning Brushes: Utilize the provided cleaning brushes to remove any stubborn pulp from the screen housing and gear teeth. Pay special attention to the fine mesh of the screen.
  • Wash with Soap: Wash all removable parts with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  • Dishwasher Safe Parts: The removable parts (twin gears, screen housing, feeding chute, containers) are 100% dishwasher proof. Place them on the top rack of your dishwasher.
  • Clean Motor Base: Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth. Never immerse the motor base in water or any other liquid.
  • Dry Thoroughly: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing to prevent water spots or mineral buildup.

6.2 Storage

Store the clean and dry juicer in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep it assembled or in its original packaging to protect components.
