1. Introduction

2. Important Safety Instructions

  • Always ensure the voltage indicated on the rating label matches your mains voltage.
  • Do not immerse the iron, power cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Unplug the iron from the power outlet when filling with water, emptying, or when not in use.
  • Keep the iron and its cord out of reach of children when it is switched on or cooling down.
  • Never leave the iron unattended while it is connected to the power supply.
  • Use the iron only for its intended household purpose, as described in this manual.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.

4. Setup and First Use

4.1 Before First Use

  • Remove any labels or protective film from the soleplate.
  • It is normal for a slight odor or smoke to occur during the first few minutes of use as manufacturing residues burn off. This is harmless and will disappear.
  • Test the iron on an old piece of fabric to ensure no residue is transferred to your garments.

4.2 Filling the Water Tank

  1. Ensure the iron is unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Set the steam control to the 'Dry Ironing' position (no steam).
  3. Open the water filling inlet cover.
  4. Using the provided measuring cup, carefully pour water into the water tank up to the 'MAX' level indicator. Do not overfill.
  5. Close the water filling inlet cover securely.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Temperature Setting

  1. Plug the iron into a suitable power outlet.
  2. Turn the temperature control dial to the desired setting according to the fabric type. Refer to the fabric care labels on your garments.
  3. The indicator light will illuminate, showing that the iron is heating up.
  4. Once the desired temperature is reached, the indicator light will turn off. The iron is now ready for use. The light will cycle on and off during ironing to maintain the temperature.

5.2 Dry Ironing

  • Ensure the water tank is empty or the steam control is set to 'Dry Ironing'.
  • Set the temperature according to the fabric type.
  • Once the iron reaches the set temperature, begin ironing.

5.3 Steam Ironing

  • Fill the water tank as described in Section 4.2.
  • Set the temperature control to the steam ironing range (usually indicated by steam symbols on the dial). Steam is only generated at higher temperatures.
  • Once the indicator light turns off, turn the steam control dial to the desired steam level.
  • Begin ironing.

5.4 Powerful Steam Shot and Vertical Steaming

  • For a powerful burst of steam (up to 150 g/min), press the steam shot button. This is useful for stubborn wrinkles. Wait a few seconds between shots to allow the steam to regenerate.
  • The steam shot function can also be used for vertical steaming of hanging garments, curtains, or drapes. Hold the iron vertically a few centimeters away from the fabric and press the steam shot button.

5.5 Spray Function

  • Press the spray button to release a fine mist of water, which helps to dampen stubborn creases.

5.6 Anti-Drip Function

  • This iron is equipped with an anti-drip system that prevents water from dripping onto your garments when ironing at low temperatures.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

6.1 Self-Cleaning Function

The self-cleaning function helps to remove scale and impurities from the steam chamber.

  1. Fill the water tank to the 'MAX' level.
  2. Plug in the iron and set the temperature control to maximum. Set the steam control to 'Dry Ironing'.
  3. Once the indicator light turns off, unplug the iron.
  4. Hold the iron horizontally over a sink.
  5. Press and hold the 'Self-Clean' button. Hot water and steam will be ejected from the soleplate, carrying impurities with them.
  6. Gently rock the iron back and forth until the water tank is empty.
  7. Release the 'Self-Clean' button.
  8. Plug the iron back in and let it heat up to dry the soleplate.
  9. Unplug and allow to cool completely before storing.

6.2 Cleaning the Soleplate

  • Allow the iron to cool completely.
  • Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner if necessary. Do not use harsh scouring pads or metal cleaners.

6.3 Storage

  • Always unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely before storing.
  • Empty any remaining water from the tank.
  • Store the iron upright on its heel in a safe, dry place.

7. Troubleshooting
