Setup Guide

1. Unpack the Device: Carefully remove the robot, auto disposal station, and all accessories from the packaging.
2. Place the Auto Disposal Station:
   • Place the station on a hard, level surface against a wall.
   • Ensure there is at least 0.5 meters of clear space on both sides and 1.5 meters in front of the station for optimal navigation.
   • Connect the power adaptor to the station and plug it into a power outlet.
3. Install Side Brushes: Snap the side brushes into their designated slots on the bottom of the robot.
4. Install 2-in-1 Tank: Open the robot's top cover, insert the 2-in-1 tank (dust box and water tank) into its compartment, and close the cover.
5. Initial Charging: Place the robot onto the auto disposal station. Ensure the charging contacts align. The robot will begin charging automatically. For first use, fully charge the robot.
6. Download Mi Home App: Scan the QR code in the product manual or search for "Mi Home" in your app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store) to download the application.
7. Connect to App:
   • Open the Mi Home app and create an account or log in.
   • Tap "+" to add a new device. The app should detect the VIOMI Alpha S9 automatically. If not, manually search for it.

Using the Mi Home App

The Mi Home app is the primary interface for controlling your VIOMI Alpha S9. It offers comprehensive control and customization options:

• Start/Pause Cleaning: Tap the "Clean" button in the app to start or pause a cleaning cycle.
• Suction Power Adjustment: Select from multiple suction modes (e.g., Quiet, Standard, Strong, Turbo) to suit different cleaning needs.
• Water Level Control: For mopping, adjust the water output level (e.g., Low, Medium, High) based on floor type and desired moisture.
• Mapping and Zoning:
  • The robot will create a map of your home during its first cleaning cycle using LiDAR navigation.
  • Multi-Floor Mapping: The app supports saving maps for multiple floors (up to 5).
  • Virtual Walls & No-Go Zones: Draw virtual boundaries on the map to restrict the robot from entering certain areas.
  • No-Mop Zones: Designate areas where the robot should vacuum but not mop (e.g., carpeted areas).
  • Area-wise Cleaning: Select specific rooms or areas on the map for targeted cleaning. You can merge, divide, and name map partitions.
  • Point Cleaning: Direct the robot to clean a specific spot on the map.
• Scheduling: Set up daily or weekly cleaning schedules for automated cleaning.
• Recharge and Resume: If the battery runs low during a cleaning cycle, the robot will automatically return to the station to recharge and then resume cleaning from where it left off.

Mopping Function

To use the mopping function:

1. Fill the 2-in-1 tank with clean water. Do not add cleaning solutions directly to the water tank as it may damage the internal components.
2. Attach the reusable wet mop cloth to the mop bracket and then slide the mop bracket onto the 2-in-1 tank. For best results, slightly wet the mop cloth before attaching it.
3. Ensure the 2-in-1 tank is properly installed in the robot.
4. Select the desired water level in the Mi Home app. The intelligent Y-type mopping pattern simulates manual cleaning for enhanced effectiveness.

Maintenance

Dust Box and Filter Cleaning

1. Remove the 2-in-1 tank from the robot.
2. Open the dust box compartment and empty its contents into a trash bin.
3. Remove the filter and gently tap it to dislodge dust. You can rinse the filter under running water, but ensure it is completely dry before re-installing.
4. Clean the dust box with a dry cloth.
5. Re-install the filter and close the dust box.

Main Brush and Side Brush Cleaning

1. Turn the robot over.
2. Remove the main brush cover and lift out the main brush. Use the provided cleaning tool to cut and remove any tangled hair or debris.
3. Pull off the side brushes. Remove any hair or debris wrapped around them.
4. Clean the brush compartments and re-install the brushes.

Mop Cloth Cleaning

• After each mopping session, remove the reusable wet mop cloth from the mop bracket.
• Rinse the mop cloth thoroughly under running water until clean.
• Allow the mop cloth to air dry completely before re-attaching or storing.
• Disposable mop cloths should be discarded after use.

Sensor Cleaning

Wipe all sensors (anti-drop, wall, and charging contacts) on the robot and the auto disposal station with a soft, dry cloth regularly to ensure accurate navigation.
