4. Controls and Functions

5. Setup
5.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge your X6 speaker. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the Micro-USB port on the speaker and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged. A full charge takes approximately 12 hours.
5.2 Powering On/Off
Long press the Play/Pause button (►▮▮) for approximately 3 seconds to power the speaker on or off. A voice prompt will indicate the power status.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Bluetooth Pairing (Single Speaker)
- Ensure the speaker is powered on and in Bluetooth mode (short press the Mode button if necessary). The speaker will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing blue LED.
- On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "Sound Town X6" from the list of devices.
- Once paired, the LED indicator will turn solid blue, and you will hear a confirmation tone.
6.2 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Pairing (Two Speakers)
To achieve 360° surround sound, you can pair two X6 speakers together:
- Ensure both X6 speakers are powered on and not connected to any Bluetooth device.
- On one of the speakers (this will be your primary speaker), double-press the "TWS Bluetooth Pairing Connection" area (refer to the controls diagram). The speaker will emit a pairing tone.
- The two speakers will automatically search for and connect to each other. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation tone, and the LED indicators on both speakers will show a specific pattern (e.g., one solid, one flashing, or both solid).
- Now, connect your Bluetooth-enabled device to the primary speaker as described in "6.1 Bluetooth Pairing (Single Speaker)". The audio will now play through both speakers in stereo.
- To disconnect TWS, double-press the "TWS Bluetooth Pairing Connection" area on either speaker again.
6.3 Music Playback (Bluetooth)
- After successful Bluetooth pairing, open your music player application on your device and begin playback.
- Use the Play/Pause button on the speaker to pause or resume playback.
- Short press the '+' or '-' buttons to skip to the next or previous track.
- Long press the '+' or '-' buttons to adjust the volume.
6.4 Hands-Free Calling
- When a call comes in, the speaker will ring. Short press the Phone button to answer the call.
- To end a call, short press the Phone button again.
- To reject an incoming call, double press the Phone button.
- To redial the last number, double press the Phone button when not on a call.
6.5 USB / TF Card Playback
- Insert a USB flash drive or TF (MicroSD) card containing MP3 audio files into the respective port on the speaker.
- Short press the Mode button to switch to USB or TF Card mode. The speaker will automatically begin playing music from the inserted storage device.
- Use the Play/Pause, Next/Previous, and Volume buttons as described for Bluetooth playback.
6.6 AUX Input
- Connect one end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the AUX-in port on the speaker and the other end to the audio output jack of your external device (e.g., MP3 player, computer).
- Short press the Mode button to switch to AUX mode.
- Control playback and volume directly from your external device.
6.7 FM Radio
- Short press the Mode button to switch to FM Radio mode.
