2. Safety Information
WARNING: Risk of electric shock if wiring compartment insulator is not installed properly. Inform the electrician if it is missing.
CAUTION: Before wiring and servicing, power to this time switch and the equipment it controls must be turned off at the main panel. Replace this insulator after wiring.
TYPE 3R RAINTIGHT ENCLOSURE: Grounding between metallic conduit is not provided by this enclosure. Grounding type bushings and jumper wire to control unit must be installed in accordance with the National Code Requirements.
- Always ensure power is disconnected before installation or maintenance.
- Use copper wire AWG 8-18 suitable for 90°C (194°F) for supply connections.
- Use listed wiring connector for Grounding Terminals.
- Always close the door after use to maintain weatherproof integrity.
3. Installation
The SURAIELEC Pool Timer is designed for easy installation, but it is recommended that installation be performed by a qualified electrician to ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety standards.
3.1 Mounting the Timer Box
The timer box is weatherproof and can be mounted outdoors. Ensure it is mounted securely using the provided mounting holes. The enclosure features 1/2" and 3/4" knockouts for conduit connections.

4. Operation and Programming
The digital timer allows for flexible scheduling with up to 20 ON/OFF settings per day, across various day combinations.
4.1 Setting Current Time and Day
To set the current time and day, press the CLOCK button. Use the WEEK, HOUR, and MIN buttons to adjust the day, hour, and minute respectively. Press CLOCK again to save and exit.
4.2 Programming ON/OFF Times
Press the PROG ON/AUTO/OFF button to enter programming mode. The display will show "1 ON". Set the desired ON time using WEEK, HOUR, and MIN. Press PROG ON/AUTO/OFF again to set the "1 OFF" time. Repeat for up to 20 ON/OFF programs. Press CLOCK to exit programming mode.

4.3 Manual Override
To manually switch the timer's output, press the ON/AUTO/OFF button. This cycles through AUTO OFF, ON, AUTO ON, and OFF modes, allowing temporary control without affecting programmed settings.
4.4 Daylight Saving Time (DST) Adjustment
To adjust for Daylight Saving Time, press and hold the CLOCK button for 3 seconds. The time will advance by one hour. Repeat to revert the change.
4.5 Battery Backup
The timer includes a built-in rechargeable battery that retains time and settings for up to three months when fully charged, ensuring continuous operation even during power outages.
