2. Setup
2.1 Unboxing and Placement
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Place the charging dock on a hard, level surface against a wall, ensuring there is adequate space around it for the robot to maneuver. Connect the power cable to the dock and plug it into a power outlet.
2.2 Water Tank Filling
Locate the water tank on the robot. Open the cap, fill the tank with clean water (and approved roborock cleaning solution if desired), and securely close the cap. Ensure the mop pad is properly attached to the mop module.
2.3 Initial Charge and App Installation
Place the robot on the charging dock. For first-time use, allow the robot to fully charge. Download the Roborock app from your device's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your S7 robot to your home Wi-Fi network and complete the initial mapping of your home.

4. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance of your roborock S7.
4.1 Dustbin and Filters
Empty the dustbin after each cleaning cycle. If using an Auto-Empty Dock, the dustbin will be automatically emptied into a larger dust bag, reducing manual emptying frequency. Clean the filter regularly by rinsing it with water and allowing it to air dry completely before reinstallation.
4.2 Mop Pads and Module
Remove the mop pad after each mopping session. The mop pads are washable and can be cleaned by hand or in a washing machine. The Auto-Empty Dock also features hot water mop washing and warm air drying for the mop pads, ensuring they are clean and odor-free for the next use.

4.3 Main Brush and Side Brush
Regularly check the main brush and side brush for tangled hair or debris. The S7 features a multi-directional floating brush that minimizes hair tangles. Remove any tangled hair using the cleaning tool provided. The DuoDivide brush roller design helps direct hair to the center for easier suction.
4.4 Sensors and Charging Contacts
Wipe all sensors and charging contacts with a soft, dry cloth to ensure proper functionality. Dirty sensors can affect navigation and cleaning performance.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your roborock S7, refer to the following common solutions:
- Robot not charging: Ensure the charging dock is powered on and the robot's charging contacts are clean and properly aligned with the dock.
- Poor suction: Check if the dustbin is full, the filter is clogged, or the main brush is tangled with hair. Clean or replace components as needed.
- Ineffective mopping: Ensure the water tank is filled, the mop pad is clean, and the water flow setting in the app is appropriate for your floor type.
- Navigation errors: Clean all sensors on the robot. Ensure there are no new obstacles or changes in the environment that might confuse the robot.
- App connectivity issues: Ensure your robot is within Wi-Fi range and your router is functioning correctly. Restart the robot and the app if necessary.
