Setup
1. Charging the Speaker
Before first use, fully charge the speaker. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the DC-5V port on the speaker and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
- The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging.
- The light will turn off or change color when charging is complete.
- Charging time is approximately 2-3 hours.
2. Powering On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the Power button (⏻) for 2-3 seconds until you hear a power-on prompt.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button (⏻) for 2-3 seconds until you hear a power-off prompt.
3. Bluetooth Pairing
- Ensure the speaker is powered on and in Bluetooth pairing mode (indicated by a flashing blue LED).
- On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth.
- Search for available Bluetooth devices. You should see "HC4" in the list.
- Select "HC4" to connect. Once paired, the LED indicator will stop flashing and remain solid blue, and you will hear a confirmation sound.
- The speaker will automatically reconnect to the last paired device when powered on, if the device is within range and Bluetooth is enabled.
4. Connecting via AUX/USB/TF Card
- AUX Mode: Insert a 3.5mm audio cable into the AUX port on the speaker and the other end into your audio source. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode.
- USB Drive Mode: Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port. The speaker will automatically detect and play audio files from the drive.
- TF Card Mode: Insert a TF (microSD) card into the TF card slot. The speaker will automatically detect and play audio files from the card.
- Use the Mode button (M) to switch between Bluetooth, AUX, USB, TF Card, and FM Radio modes.
5. TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Pairing (Optional)
If you have two Hoco HC4 speakers, you can pair them together for a true wireless stereo experience.
- Ensure both HC4 speakers are powered on and not connected to any Bluetooth device.
- On one speaker (this will be the primary speaker), double-press the Mode button (M). You will hear a prompt indicating TWS pairing mode.
- The two speakers will automatically search for and connect to each other. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation sound.
- Now, connect your mobile device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth as described in step 3. Audio will play through both speakers in stereo.
Operating Instructions
1. Music Playback
- Play/Pause: Short press the Play/Pause button (▶‖).
- Next Track: Long press the Volume Up button (+).
- Previous Track: Long press the Volume Down button (-).
2. Volume Control
- Volume Up: Short press the Volume Up button (+).
- Volume Down: Short press the Volume Down button (-).
3. Call Functions (Bluetooth Mode)
- Answer Call: Short press the Play/Pause button (▶‖) when an incoming call rings.
- End Call: Short press the Play/Pause button (▶‖) during a call.
- Reject Call: Long press the Play/Pause button (▶‖) when an incoming call rings.
- Redial Last Number: Double-press the Play/Pause button (▶‖).
4. FM Radio Mode
- Press the Mode button (M) to switch to FM Radio mode.
- Short press the Play/Pause button (▶‖) to automatically scan and save available FM stations.
- Short press the Volume Up (+) or Volume Down (-) buttons to switch between saved stations.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the speaker. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, charge the speaker at least once every three months if not in regular use. Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
