1. Product Overview

The PJ Masks Romeo Bot Builder Vehicle Playset offers a dynamic play experience, transforming from a vehicle into a robot assembly factory. This playset features interactive lights and sounds, Hero ID technology, and includes figures for immediate play.

2. What's in the Box

Verify that all components are present before beginning assembly or play:

  • 1 x Romeo Bot Builder Vehicle
  • 9 x Robot Parts (for mix-and-match assembly)
  • 1 x Catboy Figure
  • 1 x Romeo Figure
  • 3 x Accessories (including launching net)
  • 3 x LR44 Batteries (pre-installed)

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The playset requires 3 LR44 batteries, which are included and pre-installed. If replacement is needed:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the vehicle.
  2. Using a Phillips head screwdriver (not included), unscrew the battery compartment cover.
  3. Remove the old batteries and insert 3 new LR44 batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Replace the cover and secure it with the screw.

3.2 Initial Assembly

No complex assembly is required. The vehicle is ready for play out of the box. Ensure all robot parts are detached from any plastic runners if applicable.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Vehicle Mode

In vehicle mode, the playset functions as a large rolling vehicle. Push the vehicle along flat surfaces for imaginative play.

4.2 Robot Factory Mode

To transform the vehicle into a robot factory:

  1. Fold out the sides of the vehicle to reveal the interior play area.
  2. Utilize the 9 included robot parts to mix and match and create custom robots.
  3. Place assembled robots onto the working conveyor belt. Turn the crank to move the robots along the belt.

4.3 Hero ID Technology

The playset is equipped with Hasbro’s Hero ID technology. Place Hero ID-compatible 3-inch PJ Masks figures (Catboy and Romeo included) on the designated battle turret to activate character-specific lights, sounds, and phrases. The system recognizes figures as either heroes or villains.

4.4 Launching Net Accessory

Figures can hold the included launching net accessory. Position the figure and press the trigger to launch the net and capture robots.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity of your playset:

  • Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
  • Avoid exposing the playset to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
  • Store robot parts inside the vehicle when not in use for easy clean-up and to prevent loss.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Lights and Sounds Not Working

  • Ensure figures are correctly placed on the Hero ID battle turret.
  • Check battery compartment for proper battery insertion and ensure batteries are not depleted. Replace if necessary.

6.2 Conveyor Belt Jamming

  • Ensure no foreign objects are obstructing the belt mechanism.
  • Verify that robot parts are correctly assembled and not too large or irregularly shaped to fit the belt.
