Setup and Initial Use
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the chopping cup, lid, and blade assembly in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. The motor base should be wiped with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor base in water.
- Assembly:
- Place the chopping cup onto the motor base, ensuring it is seated correctly.
- Carefully place the stainless steel blade assembly onto the center post inside the chopping cup. Handle the blade by the plastic hub, as the blades are very sharp.
- Add your ingredients to the chopping cup. Do not overfill; ensure the lid can close properly.
- Place the lid onto the chopping cup, aligning the tabs on the lid with the slots on the cup. Twist the lid clockwise until it locks securely into place. The chopper will not operate unless the lid is properly locked due to the interlocking safety mechanism.
Operating Instructions
This mini chopper features a simple one-touch pulse operation for precise control over chopping consistency.
- Ensure the chopper is assembled correctly with the chopping cup, blade, and lid securely in place.
- Plug the appliance into a 120V AC electrical outlet.
- Press and hold the pulse button located on the top of the motor base to begin chopping.
- Release the button to stop chopping. Use short pulses for coarse chopping or hold longer for finer results.
- Monitor the consistency of your ingredients through the clear chopping cup.
- Once desired consistency is achieved, release the pulse button and unplug the appliance from the outlet.
- Carefully remove the lid by twisting counter-clockwise, then remove the blade assembly before emptying the chopped ingredients.
Tips for Best Results:
- Cut larger ingredients into smaller, uniform pieces (approximately 1-inch cubes) before placing them in the chopper.
- Do not overload the chopping cup. Process ingredients in batches if necessary.
- For ingredients like onions, quartering them before chopping can yield better results.
- For a finer chop, allow the chopper to run for slightly longer periods, but avoid continuous operation for more than 30 seconds to prevent motor overheating.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Proper cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your mini chopper.
- Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
- Chopping Cup, Lid, and Blade: These parts are dishwasher safe. Alternatively, they can be washed by hand in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately. Exercise extreme caution when handling the sharp blade.
- Motor Base: Wipe the exterior of the motor base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor base in water or any other liquid.
- Storage: Store the assembled chopper in a dry place. Ensure the blade is safely stored within the chopping cup.
