4. Setup and Assembly

Before first use, wash all removable parts (chopping cup, lid, and blade) in warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly. The motor base should be wiped clean with a damp cloth.

  1. Place the chopper body (motor base) on a clean, dry, and stable surface.
  2. Carefully place the stainless steel blade onto the center shaft inside the clear chopping cup. Ensure it sits securely.
  3. Place the chopping cup onto the motor base, aligning the tabs on the cup with the slots on the base. Twist gently to lock it into place if applicable (refer to visual cues on your specific model).
  4. Add your ingredients to the chopping cup. Do not exceed the 1.5-cup capacity.
  5. Place the lid onto the chopping cup, ensuring it is properly aligned and locked into position. The appliance will not operate if the lid is not correctly secured due to the interlocking safety feature.

5. Operating Instructions

The Kitchen Selectives Mini Chopper features a simple one-touch pulse operation for precise control over your chopping results.

  1. Ensure the chopper is fully assembled with ingredients inside and the lid securely locked.
  2. Plug the appliance into a standard 120V electrical outlet.
  3. To operate, press and hold the pulse button located on the top of the motor base. The blade will begin to rotate.
  4. Use short, quick pulses for coarse chopping, or hold the button longer for finer results. Observe the consistency of the ingredients through the clear cup.
  5. Release the pulse button to stop the operation.
  6. Once desired consistency is achieved, unplug the appliance from the outlet.
  7. Carefully remove the lid, then lift out the blade by its plastic hub. Always handle the blade by the plastic hub, never the sharp edges.
  8. Empty the chopped ingredients from the cup.

Tips for Best Results:

  • For optimal chopping, cut larger ingredients (like onions, carrots, or bell peppers) into approximately 1-inch pieces before placing them in the chopping cup.
  • Do not overfill the chopping cup. Processing smaller batches yields better and more consistent results.
  • Avoid processing extremely hard items like coffee beans or whole spices, as this may damage the blade or motor.
