Important Safeguards

• Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
• Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as adding cold food to a heated pot.
• The stoneware insert is designed for use in this appliance only. It must never be used on a stovetop or in a microwave oven.
• Do not place a hot slow cooker on a wet or cold surface.
• Do not use a cracked stoneware insert or a loose lid.

Before First Use

1. Remove all packaging materials and labels from the slow cooker.
2. Wash the stoneware insert and glass lid in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
3. Wipe the exterior of the heating base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the heating base in water.
4. Ensure all parts are completely dry before assembly and use.

Setup

1. Place the heating base on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface away from walls or cabinets.
2. Carefully place the stoneware insert into the heating base.
3. Ensure the control knob is in the "OFF" position before plugging the unit into a 120V AC electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

1. Prepare your ingredients and place them into the stoneware insert. Do not overfill the pot.
2. Place the glass lid securely on the stoneware insert.
3. Plug the slow cooker into a standard 120V AC outlet.
4. Turn the control knob to your desired setting:
   • LOW: For slower cooking, typically 6-8 hours.
   • HIGH: For faster cooking, typically 3-4 hours.
   • WARM: To keep cooked food at serving temperature. Do not use for cooking.
5. Cook for the recommended time according to your recipe.
6. Once cooking is complete, turn the control knob to "OFF" and unplug the unit from the outlet.
7. Use oven mitts when handling the hot lid and stoneware insert.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and safe operation of your slow cooker.

1. Always unplug the slow cooker and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. The stoneware insert and glass lid are dishwasher safe. They can also be washed by hand with warm, soapy water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
3. Wipe the exterior of the heating base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Never immerse the heating base in water or any other liquid.
4. For stubborn food residue on the stoneware insert, fill it with warm, soapy water and let it soak for a few hours before cleaning.
5. Store the slow cooker with the lid inverted on the stoneware insert to prevent odors and protect the lid.
