The UKIAH Cascade combines the ambiance of a gas fire pit with a high-quality sound system, offering a unique outdoor entertainment experience. It features a patented 12V 100-watt sound system with two 3-inch marine-grade speakers, offering three distinct modes: music, fire, and music with fire. The wireless Bluetooth connection has a range of up to 60 feet.

Setup Instructions

1. Placement

Place the fire pit on a stable, non-combustible surface outdoors. Ensure adequate clearance from walls, ceilings, and other combustible materials. Do not place under any overhead structures.

2. Fuel Connection (LP Gas)

1. Ensure the control knob on the fire pit is in the "OFF" position.
2. Connect the regulator hose to a standard 20 lb (9 kg) LP gas cylinder. Hand-tighten the connection firmly.
3. Check for gas leaks using a soapy water solution on all connections. Bubbles indicate a leak. If a leak is detected, turn off the gas, tighten connections, and re-test. Do not operate if a leak persists.

3. Initial Sound System Charge

Before first use, fully charge the integrated sound system battery. Connect the provided charging cable to the charging port on the unit and plug it into a suitable power source. The charging indicator light will show charging status.

Operating Instructions

1. Lighting the Fire Pit

1. Ensure the LP gas cylinder valve is fully open.
2. Push and turn the control knob counter-clockwise to the "LOW" position.
3. Immediately press and hold the igniter button until the burner ignites. Continue to hold the control knob for 10-15 seconds after ignition to allow the thermocouple to heat up.
4. If the burner does not ignite within 5 seconds, turn the control knob to "OFF", wait 5 minutes for gas to dissipate, and repeat the lighting procedure.

2. Adjusting the Flame

Once lit, rotate the control knob between "LOW" and "HIGH" to adjust the flame height to your desired level.

3. Using the Sound System

• Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button (usually integrated with the main control knob or a separate button) for 3 seconds to turn the sound system on or off.
• Bluetooth Pairing: Once powered on, the sound system will enter pairing mode (indicated by a flashing LED). On your device, search for "UKIAH Cascade" in the Bluetooth settings and select to pair. A confirmation tone will sound upon successful connection.
• Sound Modes: The unit features three modes:
  • Music Mode: Plays audio from your connected Bluetooth device.
  • Fire Mode: Produces ambient fire crackling sounds.
  • Music and Fire Mode: Combines Bluetooth audio with ambient fire sounds.
  Switch between modes using the dedicated mode button (if present) or by cycling through options via the main control.
• Volume Control: Adjust volume using the dedicated volume knob or through your connected Bluetooth device.

4. Shutting Down the Fire Pit

1. Turn the control knob clockwise to the "OFF" position.
2. Close the valve on the LP gas cylinder.
3. Allow the unit to cool completely before moving or storing.

Maintenance

Cleaning

• Ensure the fire pit is completely cool before cleaning.
• Wipe exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Periodically check the burner ports for obstructions (e.g., spider webs, debris) and clean with a soft brush if necessary.
• Keep the speaker grilles free of dust and debris.

Storage

• Disconnect the LP gas cylinder and store it in a well-ventilated area outdoors, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
• Store the fire pit in a cool, dry place, preferably indoors, to protect it from weather elements.
• If a weather cover is available, use it to protect the unit when not in use.
