SFA Sanicondens Clim mini S Condensate Pump User Manual

Model: CLIMMINI3S

Introduction

This user manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient installation, operation, and maintenance of your SFA Sanicondens Clim mini S condensate pump. Please read these instructions carefully before installation and keep them for future reference. This pump is designed to remove condensate from air conditioning units with a capacity of up to 8 kW (27,000 BTU).

Safety Information

  • Always disconnect the power supply before performing any installation, maintenance, or repair work.
  • Installation should be performed by a qualified professional in accordance with local electrical and plumbing codes.
  • Do not operate the pump if it is damaged or if any electrical components are exposed.
  • Ensure the pump is installed in a location where it is protected from freezing temperatures.
  • This pump is designed for condensate removal from air conditioning units only. Do not use it for other liquids or applications.

Setup and Installation

The SFA Sanicondens Clim mini S pump is designed for discreet installation, typically within the air conditioning unit or a nearby conduit. Follow these steps for proper setup:

1. Unpacking and Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect the pump and accessories for any signs of damage. Do not install if damaged.

3. Placement and Connection

The pump consists of two main parts: the detection unit (reservoir) and the pump unit. The detection unit should be placed to collect condensate directly from the air conditioning unit's drain pan. The pump unit can be installed remotely, connected to the detection unit via a small tube and electrical cable.

  • Connect the condensate drain hose from the air conditioning unit to the inlet of the detection unit.
  • Connect the small tube and electrical cable from the detection unit to the pump unit.
  • Attach the discharge pipe to the pump unit's outlet. Ensure a check valve is installed to prevent backflow.
  • Route the discharge pipe to a suitable drain point, ensuring it has a continuous downward slope after reaching its maximum lift height. The pump can lift water up to 78.74 inches (approximately 2 meters).
  • Connect the pump to a 230 Volt electrical supply.

Operating Instructions

The SFA Sanicondens Clim mini S condensate pump operates automatically. Once properly installed and connected to power, it will activate when the condensate level in the detection unit reaches a predetermined level, pumping the water away. It will then switch off once the level drops.

  • Ensure the air conditioning unit is producing condensate for the pump to operate.
  • Listen for the pump's operation. It is designed to be quiet (21 dB).
  • The maximum flow rate is 9 liters per hour.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your condensate pump.

  • Annual Cleaning: At least once a year, clean the filter screen in the detection unit to prevent blockages.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all connections for leaks and ensure the discharge pipe is free from kinks or obstructions.
  • Power Disconnection: Always disconnect the pump from the power supply before performing any cleaning or inspection.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your SFA Sanicondens Clim mini S pump, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Pump does not startNo power; float switch stuck; clogged inlet.Check power supply; inspect float for free movement; clean inlet and filter screen.
Pump runs continuouslyFloat switch stuck; discharge pipe blocked or kinked; check valve faulty.Inspect float; clear discharge pipe; check check valve for proper function.
Water leakageLoose connections; damaged hose/pipe.Tighten all connections; replace damaged components.
