- Open the water tank inlet cover.
- Fill the tank with clean tap water up to the 'MAX' level indicator. Do not overfill.
- Close the inlet cover securely.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Temperature Setting
Rotate the temperature dial to select the appropriate heat setting for your fabric type. Always check the garment's care label. The iron will heat up quickly, indicated by the pilot light turning off when the desired temperature is reached.
4.2. Steam Ironing
For steam ironing, ensure the water tank is filled and the temperature dial is set to a steam-compatible setting (usually indicated by steam symbols on the dial). The iron must be hot enough to produce steam.

4.3. Dry Ironing
For dry ironing, ensure the steam control is set to the 'no steam' position. This is suitable for delicate fabrics or when steam is not desired.
4.4. Steam Shot Function
Press the steam shot button for an extra burst of steam to tackle stubborn wrinkles. Wait a few seconds between shots to allow the iron to reheat and build up steam pressure.
4.5. Vertical Steaming
The steam shot function can also be used for vertical steaming of hanging garments or curtains. Hold the iron vertically a few centimeters away from the fabric and press the steam shot button.

5. Maintenance
5.1. Cleaning the Soleplate
After each use, allow the iron to cool down completely. Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth to remove any residue. For stubborn stains, use a specialized soleplate cleaning stick, following its instructions.
5.2. Descaling (Anti-Calc System)
Your iron is equipped with an anti-calc system to reduce limescale build-up. For optimal performance, regularly perform the self-cleaning function as described in the full product manual (if applicable) or follow general descaling procedures for steam irons.
5.3. Storage
Always empty the water tank after each use. Store the iron upright on its heel rest to protect the soleplate. Ensure the cord is neatly wrapped around the cord wrap area (if available) or secured to prevent damage.

6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Iron does not heat up. | Not plugged in; power outlet issue; thermostat setting too low. | Check power connection; test outlet with another appliance; adjust temperature dial. |
| No steam or insufficient steam. | Water tank empty; temperature too low for steam; steam control set to 'dry'. | Fill water tank; set temperature to steam-compatible range; adjust steam control. |
| Water dripping from soleplate. | Temperature too low for steam; anti-drip system not active yet. | Allow iron to heat up fully before using steam; ensure temperature is appropriate for steam. |
| White flakes coming from soleplate. | Limescale build-up. | Perform descaling procedure as per maintenance section. |
