1. Introduction

4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to connect your Rybozen HDMI Switcher:

  1. Connect to Display: Plug the integrated 1.8ft HDMI pigtail cable from the HDMI Switcher's "OUT" port into an HDMI input port on your HDTV or monitor.

  2. Connect Source Devices: Connect your HDMI source devices (e.g., Xbox, PS4, Blu-ray player, laptop) to the "IN1", "IN2", and "IN3" ports on the HDMI Switcher using standard HDMI cables.

  3. Power: The HDMI Switcher is designed to be "Plug and Play" and typically draws power from the connected source devices through the HDMI ports.

    Note: For some devices, if the HDMI port does not provide sufficient power, the switch may not function correctly. In such cases, ensure at least two or all three source devices are powered on to provide adequate power to the switcher.

5. Operating Instructions

  2. Select Input: Press the "Select" button on the top of the HDMI Switcher to cycle through the connected input sources (IN1, IN2, IN3).

  3. Indicator Lights: An LED indicator light will illuminate next to the corresponding input number (1, 2, or 3) to show which source is currently active.

The switcher is designed for intelligent switching, meaning it can automatically detect and switch to a newly activated source. However, manual selection is always available via the "Select" button.

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your HDMI Switcher, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Resolution Compatibility: Ensure all connected units (source, switch, display) support the desired 4K/3D resolution.
No audio.
  • Audio Settings: Check the audio output settings on your source device and the audio input settings on your display.
  • Cable Integrity: Ensure HDMI cables are not damaged.
Switcher does not automatically switch.
  • Stand-by Mode: When source devices are in stand-by mode, their power supply should be turned off, otherwise the intelligent switching function may not work.
  • Manual Switch: Use the "Select" button to manually switch between inputs.
Specific device compatibility issues (e.g., PS4 Pro 2160P-RGB, Fire TV).
  • PS4 Pro: This HDMI switch supports PS4 Pro up to 2160P-YUV420. 2160P-RGB is not supported. Adjust your PS4 Pro video output settings accordingly.
  • HDCP: The switch does not bypass HDCP. Ensure your devices and content are HDCP compliant.
  • Device Specific: Some devices may have specific HDMI output requirements. Consult your device's manual.
