1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your weisuan-Tuodi DC 12V Premium COB LED Strip. This COB (Chip-on-Board) LED strip features high-density chips, offering enhanced brightness and a uniform, spot-free light output compared to traditional LED strips. It is designed for various indoor and outdoor lighting applications.

2. Safety Information

Please read all safety instructions carefully before installation and use. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or other hazards.

• Power Supply: This LED strip requires a DC 12V power supply (not included). Ensure the power supply matches the voltage and wattage requirements of your LED strip length. Using an incorrect power supply can damage the strip or pose a fire risk.
• Installation Environment: Install the LED strip in a dry environment. If used outdoors, ensure proper waterproofing for all connections and the strip itself to prevent water damage and electrical hazards.
• Cutting: Only cut the LED strip at designated cutting marks. Cutting elsewhere will damage the circuit and render that section unusable.
• Heat: While designed for low heat, ensure adequate ventilation around the strip, especially when installed in enclosed spaces, to prevent overheating.
• Handling: Avoid bending the strip sharply or applying excessive force, as this can damage the internal components.
• Children: Keep the product out of reach of children.
• Professional Installation: If you are unsure about any installation steps, consult a qualified electrician.

4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly set up your COB LED strip:

4.1 Required Components (Not Included)

• DC 12V Power Supply: Select a power supply with sufficient wattage for your LED strip length.
• Optional Accessories: For enhanced control, consider a PIR Body Sensor Switch (e.g., B07WG66JMV), PWM Touch Panel Dimmer (e.g., B08SJF1Z3X), or Hand Sweep Sensor (e.g., B08SBX1DVB). Search for these item numbers on Amazon.

4.2 Preparing the LED Strip

1. Measure and Cut (if necessary): Determine the desired length for your installation. The LED strip can be cut at specific intervals. Refer to the specifications for precise cutting lengths based on your LED density:
   • 320 LEDs/m: Cut every 50mm
   • 384 LEDs/m: Cut every 42mm
   • 528 LEDs/m: Cut every 45mm

   Always cut only at the designated marks to ensure functionality.

2. Clean the Surface: Ensure the mounting surface is clean, dry, and smooth for optimal adhesion.

4.3 Connecting the Power Supply

1. Connect the positive (+) and negative (-) wires of the LED strip to the corresponding terminals on your DC 12V power supply. Ensure correct polarity.
2. If using an optional controller (dimmer, sensor), connect it between the power supply and the LED strip according to the controller's instructions.

4.4 Mounting the LED Strip

1. Peel off the protective backing from the adhesive tape on the back of the LED strip.
2. Carefully press the strip onto the desired surface, ensuring firm and even contact along its entire length.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Operation

Once the LED strip is properly installed and connected to a DC 12V power supply, simply turn on the power supply to illuminate the strip. If a switch is integrated into your power supply or controller, use that to control the light.

5.2 Dimming (with compatible dimmer)

If you have installed a compatible PWM touch panel dimmer or similar controller, you can adjust the brightness of the LED strip. The dimmable range is typically 0% to 100%.

6. Maintenance

• Storage: If storing the strip, ensure it is coiled loosely and kept in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.

7. Troubleshooting

• LED Strip does not light up:

  • Verify that the positive (+) and negative (-) connections are correct.
  • Ensure the power supply's wattage is sufficient for the length of the LED strip.
  • If using a controller, ensure it is correctly installed and functioning.
• Lights are dim or uneven, especially at the end of the strip:
  • This can be due to voltage drop over longer lengths. For strips longer than 5 meters or high-power strips, consider injecting power at both ends or at multiple points along the strip to maintain uniform brightness.
  • Ensure the power supply is providing a stable 12V output.
• Sections of the strip are not lighting up:
  • This may indicate damage to the circuit in that section. Ensure the strip was cut only at designated marks.
  • Check for physical damage or sharp bends that might have broken internal connections.
