2. Safety Information

Please read and understand all safety instructions before installing or operating the BETOPPER LED Par Light. Retain this manual for future reference.

  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the power supply voltage matches the light's requirements (240 Volts). Always connect to a grounded outlet. Disconnect power before any maintenance or cleaning.
  • Heat Management: The fixture generates heat during operation. Ensure adequate ventilation and do not block cooling vents. Maintain a safe distance from flammable materials.
  • Eye Protection: Do not look directly into the light source when the fixture is operating, as intense light can cause eye damage.
  • Installation: Securely mount the fixture using the provided brackets and appropriate hardware. Ensure the mounting surface or truss can support the weight of the light.
  • Environmental Conditions: Do not expose the fixture to rain, moisture, or extreme temperatures. This product is intended for indoor use unless otherwise specified.
  • Maintenance: Refer all servicing to qualified personnel. Do not attempt to repair the unit yourself.

3. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly set up your BETOPPER LED Par Light.

3.1 Physical Installation

The fixture comes with two brackets for flexible mounting options:

  • Floor Standing (Uplight): Attach the brackets to the sides of the light using the provided screws. Position the light on a stable, flat surface and adjust the angle as needed.
  • Truss Hanging (Downlight/Stage Lighting): Securely attach the brackets to a compatible truss or mounting bar using appropriate clamps (not included). Ensure all connections are tight and secure to prevent accidental falls.

3.2 Electrical and DMX Connections

Locate the control panel on the rear of the fixture (refer to Image 3.2).

  • Power Connection: Connect the power cable to the POWER IN port and then to a suitable electrical outlet.
  • DMX Connection (Optional): For DMX control, connect a DMX cable from your DMX controller's output to the light's DMX IN port. If linking multiple lights, connect the DMX OUT of the first light to the DMX IN of the next, and so on.

4. Operating Modes

The BETOPPER LED Par Light offers four primary control modes, accessible via the control panel buttons (MENU, UP, DOWN, ENTER).

4.1 Control Panel Navigation

  • MENU: Press to cycle through the main menu options (e.g., DMX address, operating modes).
  • UP/DOWN: Use to navigate within menu options or adjust parameter values.
  • ENTER: Confirm selection or save changes.

4.2 Automatic Mode

In Automatic Mode, the light cycles through pre-programmed patterns and color changes without external input. Select this mode from the menu and press ENTER to activate.

4.3 Sound-Controlled Mode

The light reacts to ambient sound or music, changing patterns and colors in sync with the audio. Select Sound-controlled Mode from the menu and press ENTER. Adjust sensitivity if available in the menu.

4.4 DMX512 Mode

For professional control, connect the light to a DMX controller. Set the DMX address for each fixture using the control panel. Refer to your DMX controller's manual and the light's DMX channel chart (usually found in a separate DMX guide or appendix) for specific channel functions (e.g., Red, Green, Blue intensity, Strobe, Dimmer).

4.5 Master-Slave Mode

This mode allows multiple lights to synchronize their operation. Connect the DMX OUT of the 'Master' light to the DMX IN of the first 'Slave' light, and continue the chain. Set the Master light to any desired operating mode (e.g., Auto, Sound-controlled), and set the Slave lights to 'Slave' mode. The Slave lights will then mimic the Master's behavior.
