Maintenance
Regular cleaning and filter replacement are crucial for optimal performance and hygiene.
Daily Maintenance:
- Refill the water tank with fresh, cool water.
- If using the essential oil tray, replace the aroma pad as needed.
Weekly Maintenance:
- Clean Water Tank: Unplug the unit. Empty any remaining water. The wide water tank design allows for easy access. Wipe the interior of the water tank with a soft cloth and mild detergent, then rinse thoroughly.
- Clean Base Unit: Wipe the exterior and interior base of the humidifier with a damp cloth. Do not allow water to enter the air outlet.
- Clean Wick Filter: Rinse the wick filter under cool tap water to remove any loose mineral deposits or debris. Do not use soap or harsh chemicals on the filter.
Wick Filter Replacement:
The wick filter traps mineral deposits, dust, and other impurities. For the most effective performance and to prevent white dust, replace the wick filter every 3-6 months, or sooner depending on water hardness and usage.
