3. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the appliance for any damage.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the exterior of the coffee pot with a damp cloth. Wash the interior of the coffee pot with warm, soapy water, then rinse thoroughly. Do not immerse the power base in water.
- Placement: Place the power base on a dry, flat, and stable surface, away from heat sources and water.
- Power Connection: Ensure the power switch on the base is in the 'OFF' position before plugging the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
4. Operating Instructions
- Add Ingredients: Fill the coffee pot with water, Turkish coffee, and sugar (optional) according to your desired recipe and number of servings. Do not exceed the maximum fill line. The capacity is approximately 5 cups (0.4 liters).
- Place on Base: Carefully place the coffee pot onto the power base, ensuring it is seated correctly.
- Start Brewing: Press the power switch on the base to the 'ON' position. The indicator light will illuminate.
- Monitor Brewing: The coffee will begin to heat and foam. Stay near the appliance and monitor the brewing process closely to prevent boiling over.
- Serve: Once the coffee reaches the desired foam and temperature, switch the appliance 'OFF' and carefully lift the coffee pot from the base by its handle. Pour the coffee into cups.
- Cool Down: Allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning or storing.
5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your appliance.
- Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Coffee Pot: Wash the interior of the coffee pot with warm, soapy water and a soft sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry. The exterior can be wiped with a damp cloth.
- Power Base: Wipe the power base with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Never immerse the power base in water or other liquids.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the surface.
- Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits may accumulate. To descale, fill the pot with a mixture of water and white vinegar (1:1 ratio) or a commercial descaling solution. Heat the mixture (do not boil), then let it sit for 15-30 minutes. Empty and rinse thoroughly several times.
6. Troubleshooting
