4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Keyboard

Before first use, fully charge the keyboard. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the keyboard's charging port and plug the other end into a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The charge indicator light will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.

4.2 Power On/Off

Locate the ON/OFF switch on the top right side of the keyboard. Slide the switch to the "ON" position to power on the keyboard. Slide it to the "OFF" position to power it off when not in use to conserve battery.

4.3 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Ensure the keyboard is powered on.
  2. Press the "Connect" button located next to the ON/OFF switch. The Bluetooth indicator light will start blinking, indicating it's in pairing mode.
  3. On your iPad, go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth ON.
  4. Your iPad will search for available devices. Select "OMOTON Keyboard" from the list.
  5. Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process. Once successfully paired, the Bluetooth indicator light on the keyboard will stop blinking.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Backlight Control

The keyboard features adjustable backlighting for comfortable typing in various lighting conditions.

  • Turn On/Off Backlight & Breathing Mode: Press the Light Bulb key (located near the right Alt key) once to turn on the backlight. Press it a second time to enter breathing light mode. Press it a third time to turn off the backlight.
  • Change Backlight Colors: Press the RGB key (located next to the Light Bulb key) to cycle through the 7 available backlight colors.
  • Adjust Brightness: Press Fn + Light Bulb Up Arrow key to increase brightness, and Fn + Light Bulb Down Arrow key to decrease brightness. There are 3 brightness levels.

5.2 Shortcut Keys

The top row of keys (F1-F12) serves as multimedia and function shortcuts. To activate these functions, press the Fn key simultaneously with the desired function key.
