6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your GearLight S400 Pro bike lights, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Wipe the lights with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Water Resistance: The lights are IPX4 water-resistant, meaning they are protected against splashing water from any direction. They are suitable for use in rain but should not be submerged in water. Ensure the USB port cover is securely closed when not charging to maintain water resistance.
- Storage: Store the lights in a cool, dry place when not in use. If storing for an extended period, charge them periodically to maintain battery health.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your GearLight S400 Pro bike lights, consider the following:
- Light Not Turning On: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the light to a USB power source and check the charging indicator.
- Dim Light Output: A dim light often indicates a low battery. Recharge the light fully.
- Charging Issues: Verify that the USB cable is properly connected to both the light and the power source. Try a different USB cable or power source if necessary.
- Mounting Instability: Ensure the rubber strap is stretched tightly and securely hooked onto the light unit. Adjust the position if needed for a snug fit.
