4. Setup and Installation

- Door Preparation: Ensure your door meets the required dimensions for the lock. The lock dimensions are 34 x 75 x 375 Millimeters.
- Handle Orientation: The handle is reversible. Adjust its orientation according to your door's swing direction (left or right-handed).
- Battery Installation: Insert the 4 AA batteries into the designated compartment in the back panel.
- Initial Setup: Follow the voice guidance prompts to set up the master PIN code and register initial fingerprints or RFID cards. Refer to the detailed instructions provided by the installer or the full user manual for specific programming steps.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Unlocking the Door
- Fingerprint Access: Place your registered finger firmly on the fingerprint scanner. The lock will unlock upon successful verification.
- PIN Code Access: Touch the keypad to activate it, enter your registered PIN code, and press '#' (or the designated confirmation key).
- RFID Card Access: Present your registered RFID card or key tag to the RFID reader area on the lock. The lock will unlock upon successful verification.
- Mechanical Key Access: Insert the mechanical key into the keyhole located on the front panel and turn to unlock. This method is for emergency use or when electronic access is unavailable.
5.2. Locking the Door
- The lock typically auto-locks after a few seconds once the door is closed.
- To manually lock from the outside, simply lift the handle (if applicable) or wait for auto-lock.
- From the inside, use the double safety lock knob or lever on the back panel.
5.3. Voice Guidance
The lock provides systematic voice guidance to assist with various options and settings, making operation convenient. Follow the audio prompts during programming and usage.
6. Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: The lock uses 4 AA batteries. Replace them when the low battery indicator or voice prompt is activated. Use high-quality alkaline batteries for optimal performance.
- Emergency Power: If batteries are completely exhausted, connect a 5V portable power source (power bank) to the USB port on the front panel to temporarily power the lock and gain access.
- Cleaning: Clean the lock's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
- Fingerprint Sensor: Keep the fingerprint sensor clean and dry for accurate readings.
7. Troubleshooting
- Lock Not Responding:
- Check battery level. Replace batteries if low.
- If batteries are completely dead, use the emergency USB power port with a power bank.
- Ensure the keypad is activated by touching it.
- Fingerprint Not Recognized:
- Ensure your finger is clean and dry.
- Place your finger firmly and completely on the sensor.
- Try re-registering your fingerprint if issues persist.
- PIN Code Not Working:
- Verify the PIN code entered is correct.
- Ensure the keypad is active before entering the code.
- If multiple incorrect attempts are made, the lock's alarm may activate, and access will be temporarily disabled for 3 minutes.
- RFID Card Not Working:
- Ensure the RFID card is correctly presented to the reader.
- Verify the card is registered with the lock.
- Security Alarm Activation:
- The alarm sounds if someone attempts to force open the door or enters incorrect access credentials more than 3 times.
- Access will be disabled for 3 minutes after an alarm event.
