3. Setup (Installation)

The GLEM GHB990IX is designed for wall-mounted installation. For optimal performance and safety, professional installation is highly recommended.

3.1 Unpacking and Inspection

• Carefully remove the range hood from its packaging.
• Inspect the appliance for any signs of damage during transit. Do not install if damaged.

3.2 Mounting to the Wall

4. Operating Instructions

1. Disconnect Power: Always switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the main power supply before cleaning.
2. Remove Filters: Locate the filter release latches (usually spring-loaded) and carefully pull down to remove the filters.
3. Clean Filters: Wash the filters by hand in hot water with a mild detergent, or in a dishwasher on a low-temperature cycle. Ensure they are completely dry before reinstallation.
4. Reinstall Filters: Insert the dry filters back into their slots, ensuring they click securely into place.

5.2 Cleaning the Exterior

Clean the stainless steel exterior with a soft cloth dampened with warm water and a mild, non-abrasive detergent. For stubborn stains, use a specialized stainless steel cleaner. Always wipe in the direction of the grain to avoid streaks.

5.3 Replacing the Light Bulb

The hood uses 1W light bulbs. Ensure the hood is disconnected from power before attempting to replace the bulb.
