2. Safety Information
For safe use, please ensure that the NEMO Equipment Roamer Sleeping Pad is used on a flat and stable surface, not exceeding the maximum weight limit. Children should be supervised while using the air mattress due to suffocation risks. Keep away from sharp objects and open flames.
3. Setup
Unpacking and Initial Self-Inflation:
- Remove the sleeping pad from its stuff sack.
- Unroll the pad completely on a flat surface.
- Locate the Laylow zero-profile valves on the side of the pad.
- Open both valves by twisting the outer cap and pulling the inner tab to the 'inflate' position (refer to the valve diagram on the pad).
- Allow the pad to self-inflate for several minutes. The internal foam will expand, drawing air into the pad.

Using the Vortex® Pump Sack for Additional Firmness:
For desired firmness, use the included Vortex® pump sack to add more air.
- Ensure the pad's valves are in the 'inflate' position.
- Attach the nozzle of the Vortex® pump sack to one of the pad's valves.
- Open the mouth of the pump sack to capture air.
- Roll the pump sack from the bottom towards the nozzle, forcing air into the sleeping pad. Repeat until the desired firmness is achieved.
- Once firm, close the pad's valves by pushing the inner tab to the 'closed' position and twisting the outer cap securely.

4. Operating Instructions
Adjusting Firmness:
The Laylow micro-adjustable valves allow for fine-tuning the pad's firmness. Briefly open the valve and press down gently on the pad to release small amounts of air until your preferred comfort level is reached. Close the valve securely afterward.
Mating Two Pads:
The Roamer XL Wide sleeping pads feature built-in hardware to connect two pads, creating a larger queen-sized sleeping surface. Align the pads side-by-side and secure them using the integrated connection points.

5. Maintenance
Cleaning:
Spot clean the sleeping pad as needed. Use a mild soap and water solution with a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the fabric. Ensure the pad is completely dry before storage.
Repairs:
A repair kit is included for minor punctures. Follow the instructions provided with the repair kit for effective patching. For significant damage, contact NEMO Equipment customer support.
6. Storage
Deflation:
- Open both Laylow valves completely to the 'deflate' position.
- Begin rolling the pad tightly from the end opposite the valves. This will force air out.
- Once rolled, close the valves to prevent air from re-entering.
Packing:
Place the tightly rolled and deflated pad into its oversized storage bag or stuff sack. Ensure it is stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting
Pad Not Fully Inflating:
- Ensure both valves are fully open to the 'inflate' position.
- Allow more time for the foam to expand, especially if the pad has been stored compressed for a long period or is new.
- Use the Vortex® pump sack to manually add air until the desired firmness is achieved.
Air Leakage:
- Check that both Laylow valves are securely closed.
- Inspect the pad surface for punctures. Use the included repair kit for small holes.
- If a leak cannot be located or repaired, contact NEMO Equipment customer support.
