2. Safety Instructions

4. Product Overview

4.1 Front Panel

1. Power Switch: Turns the unit ON/OFF.

1. AUX Input (RCA): Stereo RCA inputs for connecting external audio devices (e.g., CD player, DVD player).

4.3 Remote Control

The remote control allows for convenient operation of the amplifier's playback and mode functions from a distance. It includes buttons for power, mode selection, mute, play/pause, track navigation, equalizer presets, volume control, repeat, and USB/SD source selection.

5. Setup

5.1 Connecting Speakers

Connect your passive speakers to the speaker terminals on the rear panel. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -) for each speaker. The amplifier supports speakers with a minimum impedance of 4 Ohms.

• Unscrew the terminal caps.
• Insert the stripped speaker wire ends into the corresponding terminals.
• Tighten the terminal caps to secure the wires.

5.2 Connecting Audio Sources

The AV440 offers multiple ways to connect audio sources:

• AUX Input: Use an RCA cable to connect external audio devices (e.g., CD player, TV, DVD player) to the AUX input on the rear panel.
• Bluetooth: For wireless audio streaming from smartphones, tablets, or other Bluetooth-enabled devices.
• USB/SD: Insert a USB flash drive or SD card into the respective slots on the front panel for direct MP3 playback.

5.3 Connecting Microphones

Plug your microphones into the MIC 1 and MIC 2 6.3mm jack inputs on the front panel.

5.4 Power Connection

Connect the supplied power cord to the AC power input on the rear panel and then to a suitable wall outlet (230V AC / 50Hz).

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

Press the Power switch on the front panel to turn the amplifier ON or OFF.

6.2 Source Selection

Press the MODE button on the front panel or remote control to cycle through the available input sources: Bluetooth, USB, SD, and AUX.

6.3 Bluetooth Pairing

To connect a Bluetooth device:

1. Select Bluetooth mode using the MODE button. The display will show "BT".
2. Enable Bluetooth on your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.) and search for available devices.
3. Select "Fenton AV440" from the list. Once paired, the amplifier will confirm the connection.
4. You can now play audio wirelessly through the amplifier.

6.4 USB/SD Playback

To play music from a USB drive or SD card:

1. Insert a USB flash drive or SD card containing MP3 files into the corresponding slot on the front panel.
2. The amplifier will automatically switch to USB or SD mode and begin playback. If not, press the MODE button to select the correct source.
3. Use the Play/Pause, Previous, Next, and Repeat buttons on the front panel or remote control to manage playback.

6.5 Microphone Usage and Karaoke

Adjust the MIC Volume knob to control the microphone input level. Use the Echo knob to add or remove echo effect to the microphone signal. The MIC Tone knob allows for fine-tuning the microphone's sound.

The MIC PRIO function (accessible via the MODE button) can automatically lower the music volume when a microphone signal is detected, making vocals stand out during karaoke.

6.6 Audio Adjustment

• Music Volume: Use the large Music Volume knob to adjust the overall music playback volume.
• Bass & Treble: Use the Bass and Treble knobs to adjust the low and high frequencies of the music, respectively.
• Equalizer: The integrated MP3 player and Bluetooth feature an equalizer with presets like Pop, Rock, Jazz, Classical, Cut, and Normal. These can be selected via the remote control to optimize sound for different music genres.

7. Maintenance
