4.1. Installation Steps

  1. Prepare the Area: Clear the space under your sink where the filter will be installed. Ensure you have access to the cold water supply line.
  2. Turn Off Water Supply: Locate the cold water supply valve under your sink and turn it off completely. Open your kitchen faucet to relieve any remaining water pressure.
  3. Mount the Filter Head: Use the provided mounting template to mark the drilling points for the filter head. Secure the filter head to the cabinet wall using the included screws.
  4. Connect Inlet Hose: Connect the system's inlet hose to the cold water supply valve. If your inlet valve is 3/8 inch compression, you can connect directly. If it's a 1/2 inch FIP inlet valve, use the provided 1/2 inch FIP to 3/8 inch compression adapter. Ensure the O-ring is correctly positioned for a secure seal.
  5. Connect Outlet Hose: Connect the system's outlet hose to your faucet's inlet hose. Ensure the O-ring is correctly positioned for a secure seal.
  6. Insert Filter Cartridge: Align the filter cartridge with the positioning holes on the filter head. Push the filter in and turn clockwise to lock it into place. You should hear a click sound to confirm proper installation.
  7. Check for Leaks: Slowly turn on the cold water supply valve. Check all connections for any leaks. If leaks occur, turn off the water supply, re-tighten connections, and re-check.
  8. Flush the System: Open your kitchen faucet and let the water run for at least 5 minutes (or until 2 gallons have passed through) to flush the new filter and remove any carbon fines.
