  • Mattress Requirements: For the upper bunk, use a mattress with a maximum thickness of 6 inches. For the lower bunk, use a mattress with a thickness between 8 and 10 inches. Ensure the mattress fits snugly to prevent gaps.
  • Guard Rails: The upper bunk is equipped with full-length guard rails. These are essential for safety. Do not remove them.
  • Stairway Safety: Always use the provided stairway for accessing the upper bunk. Do not allow jumping on the bed or using alternative methods for climbing.
  • Assembly: This product requires assembly. Ensure all parts are correctly installed and all fasteners are tightened before use. Periodically check and re-tighten all connections.
  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the bed.
  • Children's Safety: Bunk beds are not recommended for children under 6 years of age on the upper bunk.

This Bellemave bunk bed requires assembly. It is recommended that two adults perform the assembly process to ensure safety and efficiency. The product is shipped in three separate packages, which may arrive on different dates.

2.1 Unpacking and Part Identification

  • Carefully unpack all components from the three boxes.
  • Lay out all parts on a clean, soft surface (e.g., a carpet or blanket) to prevent scratches.

3.1 Using the Trundle Bed

The trundle bed is located beneath the lower bunk. To use it, gently pull the trundle frame outwards from under the bed. To store, push it back into place until it is fully recessed.

3.2 Utilizing Stairway Storage

3.3 Separating the Beds

4. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the bed frame with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these may damage the finish.
  • Hardware Check: Periodically (e.g., every 3-6 months) inspect all bolts, screws, and connections to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten any loose hardware to maintain structural integrity and safety.
  • Environmental Conditions: Avoid exposing the bed to extreme temperatures or humidity, which can affect the wood and finish.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Squeaking Noises: If the bed develops squeaking noises, check all connections and tighten any loose bolts or screws. Ensure the slats are properly seated.
  • Wobbly Frame: A wobbly frame usually indicates loose hardware. Re-check and tighten all fasteners. Ensure the bed is on a level surface.
  • Missing Parts: If you discover missing parts during assembly, do not proceed. Contact Bellemave customer support for assistance.
  • Damaged Components: If any components are damaged upon arrival, do not attempt to assemble the bed. Contact Bellemave customer support for replacement parts.
