Setup

1. Unpacking and Initial Inspection

2. Battery Installation

1. Open the LifePod 20 using the backup manual keys.
2. Locate the battery compartment inside the case.
3. Insert one 9V alkaline battery (not included), ensuring correct polarity.
4. Close the battery compartment securely.

Note: The LifePod 20 can function as a water-resistant case without a battery, but the electronic locking mechanism will not operate.

3. Setting Your Master Code

Upon first use, you will need to set a master code for the keypad. Refer to the quick start guide included with your product for specific steps on programming your personal code. The master code can be 4-8 digits long.

4. Attaching the Steel Security Cable

The included steel security cable can be used to tether the LifePod 20 to a fixed object for added security.

1. Locate the cable attachment point on the LifePod 20.
2. Thread the loop end of the cable through the attachment point.
3. Pass the other end of the cable (with the metal stopper) through the loop and pull tight.
4. Secure the cable to a sturdy, immovable object.

Operating Instructions

1. Unlocking the LifePod 20

• Using the Keypad: Enter your programmed master code on the touch-sensitive LED backlit keypad. The case will unlock, and the lid may slightly pop open.
• Using Backup Keys: Insert one of the manual keys into the keyway and turn to unlock.

2. Locking the LifePod 20

To lock the case, simply close the lid and press and hold the lock pad (usually indicated by a lock icon) on the keypad until the internal locking mechanism engages. Ensure the side compression latches are fully closed for a secure and weatherproof seal.

3. Utilizing Interior Storage

The LifePod 20 offers versatile storage options:

• Main Compartment: The primary space is designed to hold a full-size handgun up to 9.25 inches in length, along with magazines or other accessories. The foam padding helps secure items.

Maintenance

1. Battery Replacement

The 9V alkaline battery typically lasts up to one year under normal use. When the battery is low, the keypad lights may dim or respond slowly. Replace the battery as described in the "Setup" section.

• Difficulty with Manual Keys:
