Setup

1. Battery Installation

The LifePod 20 operates on a 9V alkaline battery (not included), which can last approximately one year. The safe can also function without power as a weather-resistant case. For backup power in case of a dead battery, a concealed micro-USB port is located beneath the front cover.

  1. Locate the battery compartment, typically on the underside or inside the lid.
  2. Insert a fresh 9V alkaline battery, ensuring correct polarity.
  3. Close the battery compartment securely.

2. Setting the Master Code

The Smart Sense LED keypad allows for a 4 to 8 digit master code. It is recommended to change the default code immediately after battery installation.

  1. With the safe open, press and hold the 'Program' button (refer to your quick start guide for exact location).
  2. Enter your desired 4 to 8 digit master code using the numbered buttons.
  3. Press the 'Program' button again to confirm. The safe will emit a confirmation tone.

3. Fingerprint Enrollment

The water-resistant biometric scanner can store up to 20 unique fingerprints for quick access.

  1. With the safe open, press and hold the 'Program' button until the biometric scanner light activates.
  2. Place your finger on the scanner. Lift and repeat several times from different angles until the safe confirms enrollment with a tone.
  3. Repeat for additional fingerprints, up to 20.
