Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your PURPLE LEAF pergola, regular maintenance is recommended.

• Canopy Cleaning: The polyester canopy is water-repellent and UV-resistant. Clean it periodically with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the fabric.
• Frame Inspection: Regularly inspect the powder-coated aluminum frame for any signs of wear, loose bolts, or damage. Tighten any loose fasteners as needed.
• Weather Precautions: During strong winds, heavy rain, or snow, it is highly recommended to retract the canopy to prevent damage to the fabric and frame.

The canopy is made of durable, UV-resistant, fade-resistant, and water-repellent polyester fabric (260 GSM) for long-lasting performance. Regular cleaning with mild soap and water is recommended.

Troubleshooting

• Canopy not retracting/extending smoothly: Check for any obstructions in the tracks or if the fabric is misaligned. Ensure the rope mechanism is free of tangles.
• Loose frame components: Periodically check all bolts and screws and tighten them as necessary. This is especially important after initial assembly and after severe weather conditions.
• Rust or corrosion: The frame is powder-coated aluminum, designed to be rust-resistant. If any minor surface corrosion appears, clean the area and apply a suitable outdoor metal paint to prevent further spread.
