6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your DIGITNOW HD Video Capture Box, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Keep the device clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners or aerosols.
  • Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Protect the screen from scratches by using a screen protector or storing it in a protective case when not in use.
  • Handle cables and connectors gently to prevent damage to the ports.
  • Regularly back up your recorded files to a computer or external storage to prevent data loss.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your DIGITNOW HD Video Capture Box, please refer to the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. No Signal/Black Screen: Before pressing the REC button, ensure input sources (such as set-top boxes, computers, game consoles, etc.) are turned on and providing an audio or video signal to the product. Make sure that all cables are securely connected to both the input sources and the device.
  2. Device Crashes/Seizes Up: If the product crashes or the software seizes up, use a needle or similar pointed object to push the mini hole at the back of the product to reset the device.
  3. SD Card Issues: Please use an SD card whose transfer speed is Class 10 or above. Ensure the USB flash drive or SD card is formatted to FAT32 or exFAT, and the maximum capacity is 128G. Incorrect format or a low speed level SD card may affect the normal use of the device.
  4. Screen Remains Black (Battery): If the screen remains black despite pressing the on/off menu button for a protracted period, the battery may be depleted. Connect the charger and try again.
  5. Recording Issues: If you do not succeed in recording video material, the cables may be incorrectly connected or connected too loosely.
  6. File Splitting: This device will automatically split longer recordings into MOV video files that are 4 GB each (capture 1080p video is about 20 minutes, capture 720p video is about 40 minutes). If you wish to combine a longer recording into one file, this must be done on a computer after recording. Segments cannot currently be combined on the device.
